One of the key elements to improving overall health is to notice when the body is in a constant state of fight or flight (i.e. overwhelm). This means the body is in hyperarousal mode and is getting no relief. It’s important to calm the nervous system otherwise it begins to shut down and everything the body experiences can be a stressor. Unless the body learns how to relax and control the triggers of stress, the body will be exposed to stress hormones that can disrupt most of the body’s processes.

I have to admit that meditation was difficult for me at first until I discovered there are so many ways to practice. Spiritual meditation where you sit down and reflect in silence to try and seek a deeper connection has always been the most challenging. I gravitate towards movement meditation because I love to exercise or walk so it allows me to nourish my soul in action. Mediation has helped me reduce anxiety and depression, it improved mood, focus, and my sleep. If I go a day without it, my days typically turn out crappy and unhealthy because I’m not in the right head space.

MEET YOUR COACH! 😁

Hello dear friends. So happy that you’ve made this journey with me to learn more about how to improve your lifestyle in all areas of life! Although my page is fairly new and I’m still working diligently to make myself known to the the world, my heart has had a relationship with health and wellness since I was a kid (FYI… I grew up in the 80’s).

My goal is to inspire, educate, teach, motivate, and empower you to believe in yourself. All relationships in life matter, but the one you have with yourself is the most important in order to live your best life.

I’ll be sharing more about myself soon, but for now. I’m simply wishing you wonderful week and encouraging you to look in the mirror and tell your “YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL” because you simply are. ❤️

Live in the present and remove expectations from your life. Inner peace impacts everything we do. This is something I have to work on daily even as a coach, but I have tools that help me notice when I do. This doesn’t mean you think less of life and what you deserve, or lower your standard of living. You will grow when you learn new things with a blank slate.

Whether the stress you’re experiencing is internal or from your environment, it’s important to recognize how the underlying stress is affecting your ability to live your life. Not only will the stress affect your mood and emotions, but it will also release stress hormones such as cortisol which can cause other health problems like high blood pressure and weight gain to name a few.

Arguably, the most important relationship to have is the one where you can look in the mirror, see your truth, accept it and love it as you are.
