There are a variety of medical imaging technologies available today, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. The most common types of imaging modalities include⬇️

2- Computed tomography (CT Scan)
3- Ultrasound.
4- X-ray
5- Arthrogram
6- Myelogram

Each type of medical imaging has its own benefits and drawbacks, so it is important to speak with a doctor or radiologist to determine which modality is best for a particular situation. In general, however, all of these technologies provide invaluable insights into the human body that would otherwise be impossible to obtain.

Here is a little story about how I started my career as a radiologist👇

I went into medical school planning on becoming a surgeon, but my first day on the surgical rotation showed me that it wasn't the right fit for me. I then narrowed my specialty choice to emergency room doctor or interventional radiologist, but I eventually decided on radiology because I couldn't handle the shift work in the ER.🤷‍♂️

Within radiology, I originally wanted to be an interventional radiologist, but I became a musculoskeletal radiologist instead. Looking back, I'm sure that I made the right call.

It's funny how one's journey is constantly changing and you can never know where you will end up. I am glad that I have made the right decision as I continue doing what I enjoy🎯💯

A chest X-ray is a diagnostic test that uses ionizing radiation to produce images of the structures inside the chest. The test is used to detect abnormalities in the lungs, such as pneumonia, lung cancer, and other diseases. A chest X-ray is usually the first test performed when a patient presents with respiratory symptoms.

This chest X-ray was done for a patient for tuberculosis screening purpose. Screening chest X-rays are usually performed on an annual basis. They are an important part of tuberculosis prevention, as they can help to detect the disease in its early stages.
