This is a competition; but the only other competitor is you. It’s you vs. you for the title of 2020 Burpee BlastMaster. Everyone else is gonna do 50 per day so you figure it out.

Honestly... you’re probably asking because there is some debate as to what “counts” as a burpee. Burpees are the quintessential butt-kicking, ab-blasting, tricep-transforming, full-body, lung-burning workout movement used by humans who want to be better at being human than their fellow humans.
For the purposes of this challenge we’ll be going with the CrossFit Standard of a Burpee
*If you’re physically unable to do a standard Burpee that’s ok! You can still do the 2020 Burpee Challenge. Do what you can and what your body will allow you to do. Maybe you need assistance from a chair, block, or railing. Remember if that’s you… THIS movement COUNTS!

Pretty simple really.
RULE #1: 50 Burpees a day, in one session (aka you can’t do 10 at breakfast, 20 at lunch, and the rest before bed) with necessary breaks to not pass out or die.
RULE #2: Burpees roll over; but only one way. Miss a day? Tomorrow you do 100 (feel free to break them up into two sessions). But, if you do 65 on Monday… you’re still doing 50 on Tuesday. Get it?
RULE #3: If Burpees are programmed into your workout for the day, then they count. If you do 80 in your workout then congrats to you, you overachieving success story. But if you do 40 in your workout then you’ve got 10 to do as a cash-out so don’t forget to pay up.
At the end of the day this fun fitness challenge is all about inspiring yourself to be better. To take time every day and focus on something that will build strength; strength of body, strength of mind, and strength of spirit. Yourself will thank yourself for doing this. Just know that there are thousands of other people doing this too right along with you! Feel free to share this with your friends.
