Supervision isn’t supposed to feel like a pop quiz you didn’t study for.

It’s meant to feel like a thoughtful conversation where you can say,
“Okay… I’m confused. Let’s unpack this.”

Good supervision = less pretending, more learning, fewer spirals.

Because supervision isn’t paperwork. It’s a relationship.
And growth happens in relationships — not spreadsheets.

👉Save this if you believe supervision should feel human.

His supervision style is grounded in creating a supportive, open, and collaborative environment—one where growth is encouraged, honest conversations are welcomed, and learning happens together. With a strong belief in direct communication and meaningful therapeutic relationships, his approach emphasizes connection, empathy, humor, and authenticity.

He works comfortably with adults, couples, and children, and supports clinicians treating anxiety, ADHD, depression, stress, life transitions, and personality disorders using approaches such as CBT, DBT, and existential therapy.

AI is already in supervision—and ignoring it isn’t neutral.

In this episode, Dr. Amy Parks explores how supervisees are using AI, the ethical risks supervisors need to watch for, and how to build clear guardrails that protect clients and clinicians.

What a week last week!. Being in this space with supervisors and clinicians who actually care about doing the work well, and doing it ethically, was energizing in the best way.

Thank you to the 900+ supervisors who showed up, leaned in, and brought your real questions. This kind of community is exactly why I built the Clinical Supervision Directory, because supervision isn’t meant to be done alone.

If you missed any sessions, you can access the recordings and summit resources here:

And if you want the highlights and biggest takeaways, listen for recaps on the Supervision Simplified podcast! Stay warm out there!

is already in the room, whether we like it or not.

are using it for notes, documentation drafts, treatment plan language, and
even reflection prompts.

So the question is not “Should we talk about AI?”
The question is “How do we supervise it ethically?”

In this episode of Supervision Simplified, I cover:

🔵 What the early research says about AI in supervision and training
🔵 The biggest risks supervisors need to watch for
🔵 A practical framework for consent, oversight, and safeguards
🔵 The supervision questions that keep clinical judgment and human connection at
the center

Listen now and share with a supervisor colleague who’s navigating this too.
