Recently, I’ve been involved in conversations supporting NHS-facing nutrition education, particularly for people whose appetite has changed during medical weight loss support.

What’s stood out most is not a lack of willingness to be healthy, but how difficult eating can feel when appetite drops.

90 minutes on the bike.
20 mins light recovery jog.

This is what setting myself up looks like at the moment.

A proper breakfast (homemade Bircher muesli & smart greens) = simple nutrition and showing up even when it would be easy not to.

I’m two days out from turning 40 and I feel stronger, leaner and more focused than I have in years.

Today I started HYROX training. I still have a dodgy ankle and an injured elbow but the show needs to start somewhere… and the clock is ticking for Poland next month 😅😳

Not because I need to change myself —
but because I want to support this next decade properly.

Training harder means fuelling smarter.

I finished Shed in 7 a few days before Christmas and wanted to share what shifted for me.

I lost more weight than I expected over the week, (1.3% body fat) but what stood out most was how I felt.

I feel leaner and more toned, especially through my arms, with a flatter tummy. Zero bloat and the fact that I couldn’t finish a pizza is a SHOCK! And also to mention that it might be the first pizza ever that didn’t bloat me like a balloon!
My digestion feels settled and regular again.
Energy has been great— and yesterday I did a FTP test on the bike and exceeded my target dramatically, which genuinely surprised me.

What I didn’t expect was how manageable it felt doing this the week before Christmas. When you’re busy socially, making two shakes is actually easier than thinking about food all the time.

Nothing extreme.
Just a simple reset that worked so well for me.
