My journey started several years ago. My husband and I were newlyweds and excited about our future together. However, I was steadily gaining weight and unable to lose it and keep it off. I tried many different diets, such as the South Beach diet and the Zone diet. I would lose 15 pounds and gain back 20. I felt exhausted all the time, I needed naps often, and I couldn’t stay completely focused at

work. I required pick-me-ups (soda, chocolate, coffee) and had strong sugar cravings. We had our first two babies and I had gained 70lbs… and it was not coming off. I started suffering from terrible allergies and was constantly plagued with sinus infections that would inevitably turn into bronchitis. We continued having children, 2 more in fact! After the 2nd child, I was completely depressed. I was sick, tired, anxious, panic attack stricken, hopeless, bitter, scared… the list could go on and on. I went to Doctor after Doctor, Specialist after Specialist, and they all said the same thing… “You are completely healthy!” WHAT?! It got to the point where I just flat out gave up. Thankfully, there was more in store for me. Through working with my health coach, independent research, healthy food choices, knowledge and nurturing, My life started to completely change. I was feeling worse than terrible, as I mentioned earlier. Then, along came my “Angel”. No, I definitely did not go on my journey alone! I call this special woman my angel because I truly feel that she arrived at just the perfect time. I felt I had been “chewed up, spit out, and booed off stage” (in the words of Eminem!) My coach put me on a deep detox plan, and then introduced me to a certain way of eating that worked well for my body type. I lost 13 pounds in 2 weeks. If that doesn’t tell you how badly my body wanted to be rid of those toxins, I don’t know what else will! In 90 days, I was a completely different person. I had lost 40 pounds of stress, embarrassment, guilt, shame, toxins (external chemicals, internal disrupt from an unhealthy gut, diseases, etc.), anxiety, and hatred. It was hard. Had it not been for my coach, I would have given up. It’s as simple as that. It’s too difficult to walk a journey like this alone. But guess what? It’s completely doable. We can’t live this life to the fullest when we aren’t the best version of ourselves. You should want more too! I am beyond thankful for every day that I get to be here with my family and friends. Today I realize that there is something greater in store for me. Something that would redeem all of those days that were filled with misery. All of those tears that fell onto my pillow and onto the shoulders of those who love me the most. I think that my story, my drive, and my knowledge can help you to have your own story. After years of passionate research in psychology, nutrition, natural/holistic remedies, and optimal performance, I’ve realized that it’s time to turn this passion into practical knowledge for the real world (AKA skills you can use in your everyday life that help you lose weight, gain energy, and completely transform your body!). Health Coaches are wellness authorities and mentors who educate and support clients in order to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavior adjustments. With the relentless demands of work and life’s responsibilities, what we are currently doing to try to transform our bodies is no longer working, and we’re looking for something greater. Sometimes we just don’t know what to do to change our bodies, but more often it’s that we’re stuck in a rut and don’t know how to get out of it. It’s so interesting that 95% of our behavior occurs out of habit, either unconsciously or in reaction to external demands. That’s why we struggle to make changes that last. Even when the need for change is obvious and our intentions are strong, we often fall short. That’s a major problem, and the only thing that the diet industry can offer is “Eat fewer calories and exercise more.” Well, if that one size fits all mentality really worked, we would all be fit and healthy, wouldn’t we? Did you know that 98% of all dieters gain the weight back? And that the average person makes the same New Year’s resolution ten separate times without success? I know I have! Why is that? It's because they don’t have support or accountability! Doctors, dietitians and other practitioners either don’t have the time or the skills to help people stay motivated and follow through to get a lasting result. So, people, default to their set habits, even when they know those habits make them feel lousy. Without the right support and accountability, this dysfunctional cycle will continue, and in many cases, will continue to get worse. Going on a journey like this alone just doesn’t sound appealing. It would be lonely, boring, and where the heck would your motivation come from? That’s where health coaches, like me, come in... to provide the right SYSTEM, SUPPORT and ACCOUNTABILITY, so you can - finally - make a REAL change.
