🎉 Today is Kole’s 18th Birthday 🎂 🎉What an amazing birthday gift you have all given him by donating 💵 the last 11 weeks so he can experience healing for the first time in 7 years!

☀️Kole had a great day on Wednesday with no head or leg pain for the first time in 7 years!!!
🎥 Kole was interviewed by his Dr from Italy 🇮🇹 and they were overjoyed at Koles progress. It’s been a good week for Kole - he still has over a month left of treatments to strengthen his body so the treatments hold!

☀️ Week 6 of 12 begins today:
📷 Magnetic Resonance Therapy- Kole spends 1 hour in this chair everyday. “This therapy calms the natural inflammatory response of the Nervous System, providing healing itself and also preparing the body to be able to tolerate other therapies well and respond to the therapies more rapidly.”

🎉Kole has hit a big milestone at Spero this week! With electrodes connected to muscles Kole was able to do squats at the max number of 100 where 5 weeks ago, he could only sustain 10 seconds at the number "10"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

☀️It’s Week 5 of 12: Kole is so grateful to each of you for this opportunity to heal and recover!
📷 This is a pic of Kole in the waiting room between appointments when we first started treatment.
👨‍⚕️ After Dr. Lucas did a very simple adjustment of Kole’s sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system...Kole couldn't stay awake 💤
👨‍⚕️ The Dr explained that Kole’s sympathetic nervous system has been "stuck wide open with accelerator down" in the adrenalin rush of the "flight or fight" mode. The Spero Team is working with both systems to get them to "neutral" rather than running on high all the time. When the body doesn’t have to stay "keyed up" in pain...it 😔 sighs a huge relief and Kole rested like he hadn't rested in a long time!

😅Kole does an hour of this therapy everyday...connected to a ‘Personal Recovery System’ to unlock muscles overused by pain and strengthen those ignored bringing balance to his system. He reached a number of 80...his highest yet...out of 1-100. Exhausting! but after...Exhilarating!

Update - Week 4:
This past weekend, Kole was able to have lunch and visit the Crystal Bridges Art Gallery. He could never have done both of those activities without a lot of backlash pain. He has a broad smile because he is elated that the pain level is now in mid range rather than a constant high!
Yesterday was a little more difficult. Kole's left eye was injured in the original TBI and Dr. Katinka is working to restore it from the brain out to the eye itself. This was the 2nd treatment...the first one two weeks ago caused him to feel like he was riding a roller coaster with nausea, etc. but after that subsided, he was able to pick up a book and actually read it without being dizzy. Huge! He was thrilled. Dr. Katinka and the medical team are the greatest gift from God to Kole and our family!
