University Hospitals and Cuyahoga Community College is collaborating with NASA Glenn to compare these compact X-ray systems against hospital-grade equipment.

Celebrating Community, One Backpack at a Time!

On July 27th, 2025, the ACHIEVE GREATER team joined East Cleveland’s back-to-school event, providing blood pressure screenings for 11 individuals and sharing how our study is addressing health disparities across the region.
Over 3,000 backpacks were given away, along with coats, food, clothing, raffle prizes, and more, creating a fun, festive day for all. Community leaders, first responders, and local radio personalities joined the celebration, highlighting the power of collective impact.

On August 7th, the ACHIEVE GREATER team partnered with the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) at the Senior Jamboree to connect with residents and provide preventive health services.

We completed A1C and blood pressure screenings for over 40 individuals, while also educating attendees about our study and the importance of early detection in preventing chronic disease.

Events like the Senior Jamboree highlight how health equity begins with access, meeting people where they are, listening to their needs, and ensuring every community has the tools to achieve better health.
