After submitting the following to an All Party Parliamentary Group, on Children and Young People's Mental Health during Covid, several organisations have asked to publish the following report. Feel free to download or share if you work in education or with children. The government have said today that they have 79 million to spend on children and young people's mental health. They know how needed the money is, lets hope schools and charities call on the help of those who are trained and qualified. The report covers existing studies, what the main issues are and existing good practices that are in place that can help. Please read and share with a large mug/glass ! There’s no lockdown for dreams, ideas, visions.... and there couldn’t be a better time to let your creativity roam around. So do get doodling, drawing, painting, making stuff.....and enjoy the freedom of that!" Juliet Stevenson CBE - At The Bus Art Projects

One of the most important things we parents can do for our children is to help them learn to cope.🙌

Stress, setbacks, disappointments and defeats are a natural and even at times a frequent part of people’s lives. 👍
A child 👶 who learns how to cope ,while young, is a child who will gain strength and confidence as he matures. 🧒
A child who knows how to manage in the face of adversity is a child who can often face life unafraid.

The ability to cope is not something we’re born with. 🤔
Coping involves a set of emotional and practical skills our children learn through both observation and direct teaching. 🤗
As parents, it’s up to us to celebrate the good times but also to do our best to prepare them for the not-so good. 🙌😍

Creative-Me-Cornwall Play Therapy

Creative Me Cornwall Play Therapy is run by Play and Creative Arts Therapist, Sarah Foster (PTUK dip) who saw the benefits first hand of using play (art, clay, role play, movement and dance, music, sand, toys and games etc) to help children express their inner feelings and to process their problems in a safe, contained, therapeutic space. Sarah also accesses the healing, calming aspects of nature, using LandPlay, Outdoor Play Therapy, and runs Parent-Child Attachment Play courses for parents of 3-15 year olds who want to use “reflective functioning” techniques in order to develop a better bonding and more positive relationships with their children.
