Educate Boys

Educate Boys Behavior among our society perpetuates rape culture, and the behavior is normalized among men. It is important that we teach young men sexual education.

We need to stop telling women how to dress and teach men not to rape.

About 80% of men in college said they felt uncomfortable when women were belittled or mistreated around them, and don't speak up because they thought they were the only men that felt that way.

About 4.4 percent of r**es reported involved “provocative” behavior or clothing on the victim's part. By teaching men the importance of entitlement, they can understand that whatever a woman decides to wear is not her “asking for it” or asking for s*xual attention.

If a young man wishes to hug his classmate goodbye and she says no, he shouldn’t try and convince her any further. Trying to convince someone into saying yes is not a mutual decision, and is pressure onto the other person to make a choice that does not define their goals, feelings and morals. But instead he should respect her decision and wave goodbye instead. This also applies to in*******se.
Feeling hopeful our young men in society will see the change they need to be! Parents don't be afraid to teach men consent outside of in*******se to practice!😁

As a society we need to teach men to not r**e, and what it means to truly be a great man in society. Men need to learn that consent is a must, to always stand up for women, and never expect anything in return for being a good man.

If a woman wears a short skirt and a small top, she is not asking for male attention nor is she asking for s*xual in*******se. Insisting that women should dress differently in order to not get r**ed is hypocritical. Men get r**ed as well, and we as a society do not insinuate that they should have worn looser attire, or to not cause such a distraction to their female counterparts. We don't regulate what they can wear to work or school. We understand in instances when adult females r**e young boys that it was wrong and the female had no right to take advantage of him. This stigma should still be applied vise versa.

Teach boys that entitlement is wrong! No one is ever entitled to anything, especially in*******se. As a society we must teach men to see a woman's humanity, instead of as s*xual objects.Rape culture is the result of the objectification of women, and men r**e because they are taught to not see women as autonomous beings. This is important because many rapists believe that they are entitled to s*xual experiences because they feel they were “nice enough” or what someone wore.

As a society we degrade and overs*xualize women and this does contribute to s*xual violence. Another message that is important to convey is no one is entitled to s*x. This can be taught at a young age by breaking societal beliefs in regards to s*x. We must break the idea that “real men” have a lot of s*x. Boys have to prove their masculinity by having s*x, and this leads to an unhealthy way of exploring s*xuality. Teaching men that no one is ever entitled to s*x, even if it's a spouse, girlfriend/boyfriend, or a married partner, shows them that s*x is not only measurable for themselves and must be mutual.

Encourage young men to speak up against s*xual violence! Teach them to speak up against other men or women who make r**e or s*xist jokes, and hold them accountable for not respecting women and their decisions. Teach young men to speak up in uncomfortable situations! This suggests to their peers that the behavior exhibited is not acceptable and will not be ignored. 👍🏽😌

Integrating control over a young man's body helps understand the importance of no. Young men must look for a yes! Trying to convince someone into saying yes is not a mutual decision, and is pressure onto the other person to make a choice that does not define their goals, feelings, and morals Affirmative consent allows for people to communicate and be certain that both parties have the same wishes.

06/12/2020

We need to educate young men about the importance of understanding what no means. This can be practiced with daily tasks, and showing young men to learn how to respect their own bodies as well as their female classmates or peers👍 We must make sure they look for that definite yes!
