Our Story
Our site is founded on two main goals.
* The site is designed to consolidate resources for quality information on healthy living into an easy, central place. There is an enormous amount on-line, but the resources are scattered. We saw a need to be filled: a single go-to place to easily find what you are looking for. People who use our websites will find resources pointing to the information you're looking for, including information on your specific health challenges. You are able to collect whatever that means, be it a list of favorite and relevant podcasts and articles, a personal recipe book, or a wish list for great books or household items you’re saving towards, further consolidating what you find here into an individualized databank.
* We believe one of the most important components of living is sharing. Our website serves our community as a meeting place. Here you are able to find an audience eager to interact with one another and to enjoy the fruits of each other’s creative talents. The members of our community have an abundance of priceless wisdom gathered from personal experience. As personal stories and experiences are shared, there is the added bonus that relationships may develop and friendship form.
The dandelion flower is a recurring theme. It was chosen because the plant thrives in difficult conditions, which has led it to be symbolic of the ability to rise above life's challenges, emerging victorious. This flower sends the message "Don't give up." Many meanings are assigned to the dandelion: healing physically and emotionally, intelligence in both a spiritual and emotional sense, surviving challenges and difficulties, long lasting happiness, youthful joy, the hope of having a wish fulfilled. The dandelion is a visual reminder of the power of the sun, the warmth of summer, the fresh comforting feel and smell of grass.
