Oh hey, it's me!! Did you know that Northwest Ohio Doula (Amber) is also a student midwife? I'm excited to share more of my journey 🥰

Meet Amber— student Midwife at

Amber Harmon CBD, CPD, IFCS, CLC, “I am currently a phase two student midwife, and have supporting families in Northwest Ohio as a Birth Doula since 2018. Also a Certified Lactation Counselor, Postpartum Doula, Infant Care Specialist, and Childbirth Educator since 2022.
My approach to doula care focuses on holistic, inclusive, non-judgmental support. I believe there are many ways to birth and I strive to create a safe and loving space for each client.”



In my spare time, or when I’m not running kids to sporting events, I enjoy camping, reading, crafting, visiting new coffee shops, and sports.

We were nervous at first to share our special moments with a stranger, but she was nothing close to a stranger! We felt so comfortable with her and the more times we met and spoke via text the more we loved her! The knowledge and support was great. “Just a reminder that OHMI midwife Shelly Varelli is offering a series childbirth education classes that will be presented Live, beginning this Wednesday, October 2, 6:00pm-8:30pm, and will run each Wednesday in October (9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th). Those classes will lecture based, presented virtually via zoom (and recorded for future distribution). As part of this series, there is also a one ‘in-person/hands on’ Comfort Measures for Birth class on Sunday, October 6 from 10 AM to 2 PM. “

Independent, comprehensive Childbirth Education Classes covering 6 weeks of courses (3 hours each) are available on a monthly rotation. Jump in wherever we are in the series, or sign up for just one class at a time. These classes are meant to inform and empower you -no matter where you are planning....
