For my new friends on here, I wanted to introduce myself and say welcome! šŸ¤—

There’s so many new faces on here I figured I’d introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me and my story.

My current mission is help bring people’s health back into equilibrium through holistic modalities such as functional nutrition, breathwork, sound healing, subconscious rewiring, and authentic community.

So much of what I now help others with is what I wish I had over 14 years ago when I first developed health issues of my own. At 23 years old I was diagnosed with a chronic disease called Crohn’s Disease, an autoimmune inflammatory disease of the digestive system, and was left feeling alone, afraid, and unsure of what would happen next.

After working as an ICU nurse for a year and then going to live in Poland, I decided to take a leap of faith and try this whole ā€˜alternative medicine’ route, saying no to big pharma and typical western medicine doctors using fear as a motive to get me to take pharmaceuticals.

Within 4 weeks of changing my diet, supplements, and habits, all of my lab values normalized for the first time in over 10 years, and within 8 weeks of my protocol I was symptom free and haven’t experienced any symptoms since (2+ years without symptoms).

This experience has taught me so much about what it means to take responsibility for your own health, to trust in the divine, and to believe in yourself especially when others seem to be projecting their fears onto you.

So now my calling is to teach the methods I used to heal myself and walk alongside those who are on their own healing journey.

If this resonates with you and you’re looking for support in your healing journey, DM me the word HEALING ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

If you think this would resonate with someone you know, send them this post šŸ’›

Happy Lions Gate 888 🦁

This time last year I was preparing to fly to Kentucky to speak with a college volleyball team about nutrition and mental performance.

This time two years ago I was preparing to head back to Poland for the second time.

My life has been genuinely so cool - traveling, meeting new lifelong friends, learning different ways of living, being creative with my job/career, overcoming chronic illness, playing a sport I love all the time.

The crazy part is when I look back I realize I honestly haven’t been as intentional with curating my life experiences as much as I could have been.

My intention for this portal is to dare to dream. Take the time to sit down and truly ask myself ā€˜if I could paint my life exactly how I wanted it, what would it look like?’. Get as detailed as possible. Choose things that excite me and pique my curiosity for ME. Not for what other people think I should be doing or the pressure society is putting on me. But to genuinely give myself permission to imagine a life without any boundaries, setbacks, limiting beliefs. A life that is easy, fun, and abundant.

Then from there work backwards. Use manifestation as a tool, but truly dive into the work it will take to live the dream.

Oh and to laugh and remember it’s not that serious 😁

Have you ever truly allowed yourself to dream?
If there is ever a time to do it - it’s now. The world needs you to.

In Magick,
Sam šŸ’›

Thank you for the beautiful capture šŸ“ø

ā€œWhen Love takes precedence over fear and wisdom is the primary desire, manifestations fluidly materialize with ease as the light of the sun radiates vision into the path aheadā€

Since April 6th I’ve been learning, integrating, witnessing, upgrading, in ways that have been extremely challenging and uncomfortable.

Creating time and space is helpful when reflecting on these moments so we can extract the lesson in each experience.

What never fails me when I’m feeling overwhelmed, anxious, unsure, is the reminder to always show up as present as possible.

Your ability to be present with each moment will unequivocally dictate your reality. The more present you can be to allow all emotions to flow through you will also be directly correlated with how quickly you can understand and integrate each lesson the universe is guiding you through.

One thing that always grounds me in the present is meditation.

Sending you love in this currently crazy timeline šŸ¤ŖšŸ’›

Masculine šŸ¤ Feminine

Masculine energy is DOING.

Feminine energy is BEING.

As an athlete I’ve been conditioned to believe that I’m being productive only if I’m doing something; lifting, reading, working, meal prepping, etc.

Taking time to just be allows me to rest, regenerate, and recharge so I can show up for my friends, family, clients at my highest level.

Luckily I have some pretty great friends that support and inspire me, like .

Remember to take time to rest šŸ’›

I’m told lately that I’m such a happy person and always smiling… but it doesn’t mean life is always easy.

These past few weeks I’ve spoken so much about my failures and obstacles I’ve faced in my volleyball career:

• Club director benched me at a bid tournament for warming up in the wrong shirt
• I was forced to apologize to a club coach because I was wearing Superman socks during our match
• My teammates parents turned against me for being named court captain (even though it’s because I’ve read the rule book 3 times)
• I wanted to quit after my first year playing in college because it was so intense
• I would get so nervous before lifting I started having bad stomach pain
• My senior year of college my coach decided to start a freshman as the libero instead of me

… and this is the short list.

All of these situations were not preferred experiences. It seemed like club coaches were trying to tear me down, my college coach didn’t trust me, I felt like I was constantly misunderstood.

For a long time I was bitter, resentful, frustrated that these things happened to me, but only one thing changed: My Perception.

So by the end of my college career I did what any desperately unhappy person would do - I started to read šŸ˜‚

I started to learn that how I perceive external events are within my control.

I can view an unfavorable situation as ā€˜bad’, ā€˜annoying’, ā€˜frustrating’, or I could simply accept it and ask myself, ā€œThis is good becauseā€¦ā€

All the perceived failures and obstacles I mentioned above used to really frustrate me and I’d ask myself ā€˜why me’. But I realized I could use these situations to teach athletes how to respond when things don’t go their way.

Make it the best day ever or not, the choice is yours.

Having trouble with low energy during training or competition?

Then it’s time to refuel! Typically a volleyball game doesn’t last past two hours (except my college and pro players), but tournament weekends definitely do.

How you fuel before and after training or competition is going to have direct correlation to how you play.

It’s been a little crazy since landing in the states, in the best way of course šŸ’›

I’m so grateful to reconnect with players back in the USA, thank you . My goal is to be the person I needed when I was 16, showing me better ways to take care of myself and perform better on the court both physically and mentally.

I’ll get back to posting nutrition content soon šŸ™šŸ¼

POV: I am reminding you to eat your banana between sets 2 and 3

Great weekend with the team. This week I will head back to the USA, and I’ve started planning a volleyball mastery clinic with - Las Vegas | May 11

Volleyball Mastery:
• Serve Receive
• Defense
• How to fuel for performance
• How to create a routine for mental performance
• Q&A

Plus I will be hanging around all weekend to answer any questions about what snacks to pack, establishing a mindfulness practice, how to cut down on caffeine, and whatever else you want to know!

Until then, grab my Tournament Day Fuel PDF by going to the link in my bio!

Volleyball snacks need to have fast-acting carbs - or simple sugars.

As we train or compete we burn the glycogen stored in our muscles. This is our primary source of energy.

So just like you put gas in your car šŸš— we have to refuel as well.
