coming back to bali, indonesia hasn't been gentle. it's been a hard landing, with a lot of sleep deprivation.

the weather is strange as the climate crises continues to change seasons drastically.

meeting community and family that has gone through so much in the last few weeks.

I decided to spend my first sunrise honouring the mountains, the earth, the forest with offerings and prayer as I present myself to the land again.

This is Batu Karu, the second highest mountain on the island.

I am not sure what will unfold here, but I'm committed to feel, to breathe, to ride the lava as the earth underneath us cracks open.

thank you to everyone who has sent well wishes, I appreciate you.

we will continue this work together in Breathing Beyond Empire, I live my work, my work lives through me.

come and join, we need everyone in this. we all have different roles in this moment, our activism may look different from one another and you are welcome wherever you are on your journey.

this summer has been a whirlwind of a journey.

I am so grateful for all the wonderful connections, moments of joy and moments of sorrow.

rooting in with eachother the power of this work.

one of the things that I am learning over and over is that this is all love work, learning how to love in all the ways we have been taught to close, to guard, and stretching our hearts to include all beings, in all ways.

We need each other.

This summer was so full of love amongst all the chaos, death and destruction and I am so grateful to my community, my colleagues, my students.

on we go.

I am deeply heartbroken how needed my work is. it's a bittersweet pill that I have been able to attend to the wounds of colonialism and see how and why it's needed.

but it's moments like this I wish we didn't,

but here we are, we really need to learn how to disentangle from supremacy culture and reclaim our power.

yes to solidarity, yes to colleectivity, yes to all those pushing through the constructs of what it means to be colonised and stepping into an embodied liberation.

Breathing Beyond Empire is a way to bring our bodies with us, not just our philosophies and our intellect, but our bodies, blood and bones.

If you're wondering what your activism can look like and wondering how to step in better, this may be it.

with ferocious love,
Hannah

Temple Uprising at Glastonbury was such an honour to programme and produce.

This was one of the only stages last year to hold the Palestinian flag and this year we were inundated with consciousness, awareness and empowerment, the colors of Palestine everywhere.

This stage is a recognition and celebration of the power of music for personal and collective liberation. We are all connected, we all have so much to learn and so much love to give.

These are a few snippets of what our Thursday programme offered hosted at Kinetic:

1. Steve Bedlam Stavrinides spoke on the intersections of the Free Party Movement, history of UK sound and how deeply full of culture our beats are in Rave music.

2. DJ Rap spoke on the role of music in shifting perspectives, in her role as a DJ in bringing people together and staying rooted and grounded in the gift of unity that music can bring.

3. Koteka graced the stage with songs from West Papua, she generously shared her personal family histories of g*nocide and the ongoing erasure of her people fighting for independence from Indonesia. This was a wildly intimate set, with stories and love interwoven.

4. Palestine Pulse lifted our souls and spirits with an energetically loving performance with beautiful sounds and rhythms of love and liberation. They declared the power and resilience of the Palestinian people and honoured their ancestors with their activism.

5. Dale Vince spoke on the role of dreaming for future solutions. He intricately connected the dots between green energy and veganism as direct applicableways to challenge oppressive systems and divest. it was such an honour to speak with founder and festival green fairy!

What a wonderful group of people, all holding their pillars of responsibility and doing so with joy, generosity, skill and love.

thank you to everyone who came and shared with us on the Thursday, it was potent, political and insightful.

we need all of us in our own purpose to do this dreaming together and yours might not look in this, and that's OK

this summer I have the pleasure to return to produce Temple Uprising in the Common at Glastonbury Music Festival.

This stage explores how music transcends entertainment and becomes a catalyst for revolution and liberation.

this year we are welcoming some amazing artists, activists and thinkers and I would love to see you join us.

take a look at the lineup, it's going to be an inspiring event.

thank you to all that are joining for your deeply inspiring work.

if you're going to be there, hmu!!

we are not here to neutralise or to regulate, we are here to be centred in our rage, precise in our anger and be mobilised to protect by our rage.

I am so proud to have students deeply committed to dismantling supremacy culture, to leverage their proximity to power and become part of the resistance.

being silent amongst the noise is deafening and complicity - if avoidance and ignorance and 'staying out of it' is your choice, then whiteness is working in your favour.

it's all connected.

thank you .radical.therapist for this.
