Many of us have long felt the nauseating effects of the toxicity of fitness culture, from the constant fluctuation of “ideal body type” trends to workouts that all the celebrities and influencers are doing that are not always accessible or feasible for someone looking to get into fitness.
We see influencers on social media blatantly flaunting some hard work, but mostly good genetics, bolstered by highly restrictive eating habits verging on ED. “High protein” this and “carnivore” that, “keto” this and “paleo” that.
It’s incessant and constant, and God forbid you end up on fittok or your explore page’s algorithm becomes inundated with so many health and fitness claims, many of them contradicting, that it makes your head spin.
