Stress can raise its head at any moment, so it is useful to know you have techniques that you can fit in around the time constraints you have.

There are techniques which are great for the quick solution when stress rises and needs to be released quickly such as before an interview or exam. There are also those techniques to focus on when you have a short break to release the build up of microstressors. And then there are the tools to help you maintain your stress levels over a longer period of time to give longer lasting results.

Give them a try and see what works best for your stress levels. For me sleep and exercise are at the top of my list. Saying no is the hardest one for me to do but so beneficial.

Just taking some time for yourself, reflecting on what stressors are impacting you, whilst learning practical tools to release your built up stress can reduce your emotional reactions.

When you feel stressed, you can feel that you have minimal control over your own reactions and your life. However, once you acknowledge your emotions without judgement you can start learning to recognise you have choice in how you respond to events rather than having your reactions controlling you.
