"Just now I walked for 5 minutes and I was out of breath, yawning, feeling like I could fall asleep."
Those of you following me will know I set off to start my fitness career at the start of the year and this went from all to nothing quite quickly.
Although my health and fitness are now suffering, it still applies to helping others with their fitness goals and improving their health & overall quality of life.
Just because we can't do the things we want to do and things in life change, it doesn't mean we should sit in silence and not help each other out.
I had to take a lot of time to myself and I still do but I want to be open with how I'm feeling.
So if you don't know, I started with a virus in Dec 22 and basically haven't got better since. The virus has now kindly given me a chronic fatigue syndrome, of which I'm still in the process of being diagnosed. It takes a long time to be diagnosed (sometimes years) and the waiting game isn't fun.
What I struggled with most is that I kept thinking "it's just a virus, it will go away soon and I'll be back to normal". But it didn't, and I'm not.
Every day is different and most people with CFS will tell you the same. Last week I did some gym classes and felt great, like I could do anything.
Just now I walked for 5 minutes and I was out of breath, yawning, feeling like I could fall asleep.
Point being, I want you to know that if you are suffering with something similar to me, my thoughts are with you. If you want to talk, I'm here. And if you can help me, I'd love to listen.
