Becoming a mother changes us - I can tell with great accuracy when I am in the presence of a mother - with no other evidence. I remember when my son Wyatt was born, long before the soul crushing experience of loosing him, that I was instantly changed. That buying him a rain coat felt better than anything I could buy for myself. That seeing him smile or hearing him hum was golden to me. I became second and it was a pleasure I had never known in that way before. He gave me new eyes on the world. It is a transformation I treasure. I know we all do. Once a mother, always a mother... It is a sacred gift to become and to have and to know. Hugs to all the mothers, xox Tamara
