Underrated: pharmaceutical-grade methamphetamine, the most effective psychostimulant on a per-gram basis, with a better ratio of beneficial to adverse effects than any comparable psychostimulant. There is no stimulant 'cleaner' in effect than pure methamphetamine, and the medically-indicated therapeutic range is so low, addiction is statistically extremely rare.

Overrated: caffeine. In blinded trials, animals consistently avoid caffeinated water because it causes subjectively dysphoric effects (more accurately, it causes animals to behave in a manner consistent with what we describe as anxiety, etc). Caffeine is fairly s**t at increasing alertless with chronic use, and has a particularly bad side effect profile relative to its modest efficacy.

My only actual disagreement with the Six Foods That Work is that I do think the list could be expanded to include more foods, so as to avoid micronutrient deficiencies.

Also, expanding the list would address issues like satiety more effectively, along with with improving subjective enjoyment of, and satisfaction with, the diet overall.

Ultimately, this relatively minor change would improve dietary adherence and overall nutritional status, with less total effort.
