I am really excited to be delivering a Hands-On Practical Workshop on March 16th. This is an opportunity for people who are thinking about a career in fitness to get a real world, hands on experience with what it feels like to be a fitness instructor.

In this workshop you will learn to instruct a full body strength training session including:

How to do compound leg, chest and back exercises in the gym
The main muscles used, breathing and tempo for each exercise
Basic instructor techniques using the ESIC Method
Cueing and correction for common technique errors
Common variations and substitutions for each exercise
Fitness career opportunities and course options available
This workshop is ideal for people who are:

The Importance of Strength Training and WHY you need to do it!! πŸ‘ŠπŸ™Œ

1. As we age we loose bone density- Engaging in regular strength training helps to increase bone density, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures. πŸ’ͺ

Meet Brian and Bella!-

Tahnee has been a great teacher to both Brian & I in many ways. Our aim was to loose 7 kgs before an overseas holiday to start. But with both of us in our mid 50s we also recognised that we needed to improve our fitness as well as to start looking after bodies better especially our muscles and bones. Did we achieve our initial weight loss goal yes and then some. But the most important thing was that we were educated about our bodies through fitness and nutrition.

FOOD - what did I learn?
To be mindful whilst eating/chewing my food – i.e. think whilst chewing and take my time. What to eat and how much to eat. Tahnee prepared separate food plans for both of us to suit our likes/dislikes whilst keeping same ingredients just different quantities so that we could obtain maximum results. Once we got the quantities learnt .. the rest was easy. I had lots of gut issues to start with, I still do some days but not how I did. I believe that the change in what I eat now is why I am better.

FITNESS - what did we learn?
Enjoying going to the gym - now for those of you that know me ... know how much I hated going to the gym. Now I love it!.
How to use equipment properly, correct techniques and to engage muscles and core and to really think about my sets before we start. We have learnt to understand our bodies better and when to push harder, don’t get me wrong we work hard but at times not even realising that we are as we are enjoying what we have achieved and learnt along the way.

IN GENERAL - what did I learn?
I have learnt it’s not about how much I weigh. Its about how my body and mind has changed. The level of strength and fitness I have surprises me daily, and there is still more that I want to achieve. My physical and mental state also surprises me.

Inspiring Wellness

Life has changed so much for me! I have gone from taken medication every single meal to thriving on whole foods and a healthy lifestyle. Something that didn’t happen over night- but I now know how it feels to be fueled by clean eating and feeling good inside.

Making good choices is not always easy and sometimes those bad habits try to crept back in- when I focus on WHY I am doing what I am doing I create a mentality that is strong and almost unbreakable.

Life is a journey and it’s about taking one step at a time. Being rid of negative influences and surrounding yourself with what and who is going to walk along side you to support and love you.

I am driven to help people who are currently struggling- let me be that positive influence in your world :)
