Lindsay Luschwitz has been a registered dietitian here at the Lifestyle Medicine Clinic for almost 6 years. Along with being a registered dietitian, as a culinary school graduate from Johnson & Wales, Lindsay has a passion for food and cooking, and helping those prepare healthier meals, and try new foods. “Making lifestyle changes is not easy, but we really want people to understand it’s about progress, not perfection.”
“One of the most rewarding parts of my job is when a patient has applied several of the goals we discussed during our visit, and upon follow-ups reports wins such as improved lab numbers, feeling better, less joint pain, less fatigue, and being able to do things within their day they previously couldn’t.” She works with adults with chronic issues including: diabetes, obesity, hypertension, high cholesterol, GI issues, pre and post bariatric surgery, gestational diabetes, and more.

Robbie McPhail's journey of recovery began after a life-changing accident on June 24, 2024, when he fell off a ladder at his home and was paralyzed from the neck down. Robbie spent five weeks at ECU Health Medical Center followed by months with ECU Health Outpatient Physical Therapy. He was then referred to the ECU Health Wellness Center, where he was paired with one of our personal trainers.
"All I can say is, WOW!!! Cas, my personal trainer, has inspired me to a level that when I finish my time with her, I will almost be the person I was before my fall. She has done a tremendous job addressing my strength and balance issues with a wonderful teaching style. The Wellness Center is a ‘total package’ and has met my every need. I had my ‘Humpty Dumpty’ moment and each of the ECU Health locations that I have been at have helped me move through the recovery process to be the person I was before the accident and for that I will forever be grateful."
