After this morning’s Thread Journal class, I nipped down to the Proper Good Pop-Up Shop in Merseyway… and honestly, I fell a bit in love with all the gorgeous goodies made by local social enterprises. 😍✨

So many thoughtful, purpose-filled Christmas gift ideas — it’s such a treat to see our community’s creativity all in one place.

If you’re in Stockport this week, it’s well worth a wander.

The pop-up is open in the Pop-Up Space in Merseyway until 23rd November, with a beautifully curated selection of products plus some brilliant events, including Social Enterprise Walking Tour Showcases.

A lovely way to discover and support the organisations doing proper good things every single day.

Today we join a global celebration of businesses that put people and our planet first. At .cic, we are incredibly proud to be a social enterprise!! Thank you for supporting us✨✨

Our mission has always been to support creative wellbeing and build genuine community connections — giving people space to breathe, create, and feel seen.

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, it’s a moment to shine a light on purpose-driven organisations making real, lasting impact - we are lucky to be amongst some fabulous organisations helping our local communities.

We also love celebrating and championing our fellow social enterprises. It’s been such a joy to watch them grow, evolve, and do good things across our community 💛

A massive heartfelt thank you to Sector 3, Proper Good, and Simone for supporting us to develop, learn and thrive. Your belief in us means the world.

The Proper Good Pop-Up Shop is now open in Pop-Up Space in Merseyway Shopping Centre, running from 18th to 23rd November. It features a beautiful selection of products from local social enterprises — perfect for purpose-filled Christmas gifting. Alongside the curated retail, the shop will also host inspiring events, including Social Enterprise Walking Tour Showcases.

This seasonal sampler has been such a joy to watch unfold — one of our lovely Thread Journal participants has been stitching away on this project for almost a year, learning new techniques each season and creating something truly beautiful in the process 🧵✨

It’s such a gorgeous reminder that these projects aren’t about rushing — they’re about slowing down, learning as you go, and enjoying the process. And now comes the big question… what to stitch next?!

Today was the dreamiest mix of cold, crisp air and cosy creativity ❄️🪡✨

We wrapped up in fluffy blankets, sipped hot Ribena, and stitched beautiful botanical embroidery surrounded by winter nature at the allotment. Even with the frost on the ground, there was something so calming about being outdoors — breathing in the fresh air while creating little bursts of colour with every stitch.
