TAIN DISTRICT HOSPITAL TOPS BONO HOSPITAL RANKINGS FOR 2025 HALF-YEAR

Tain District Hospital has been ranked number one among hospitals in the Bono Region using selected health indicators for the first half of 2025. This was announced during the 2025 Half-Year Performance Review Meeting held in Sunyani on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

In a presentation to share best practices, success factors, innovations, and lessons learned, the Medical Superintendent, Dr. Philip Taah-Amoako was full of praise of his young, hardworking, and enthusiastic staff who have worked tirelessly to catapult the facility this far.

5-DAY IPC TRAINING HELD FOR STAFF.

The facility has organized a five-day training on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) for staff. This was from Monday, 11th to Friday, 15th of August, 2025. The training was facilitated by Nana Darko Ampem I, the Regional IPC Focal Person, and Ms Gladys Asante, the Institutional IPC Focal Person. It was attended by nurses, midwives, physician assistants, administrative staff, and orderlies of both the sub-district health facilities and the district hospital.
A total of 250 staff were trained, including 191 clinical staff and 60 non-clinical staff, with 17 staff joining from the sub-district health facilities.
