Thanks to the amazing and stellar human Amy for hosting us in her kitchen for pizza prep, you will find us once again at this Sat from 4-10ish.There will be no preorders this time, just walk ups. So be prepared to order and chill a bit with a beer or two while you wait (just like a real pizza joint šŸ˜‰) As always we’ll do our best to get you hot pies as fast as possible.

I hear there will also be an event/feature from and mayhaps karaoke??? I am not sure what any of this means, but I think it might mean we’re in for a killer night.

Menu will include a pep, marg-ish, market pie (veg), and a vegan version also, as always.

See you fine folks in the alley.

Repost!!! Gracie from .pies is warmth personified and packaged into the most thoughtful and generous human. I am so grateful to have her in my community of food-lovin-and-hustlin small biz folks. She always supports me and I can’t wait to do more together and see her pies take over the world.

Repost from ā€œlet me tell you why .pizza is my favorite. not only is kala an amazing, generous, and friendly human, but her dough is stellar. her handle should really be .

if you know me and/or have ever eaten pizza with me, you know that i never eat the crust. i know, i know, it’s a horrible habit, but the reason i do it is because i don’t want to ā€œwaste spaceā€ in my tummy because i want to eat more of the toppings or the laman, if you will (the tagalog word for the substantial part/the meat/the flesh). unless it’s a pizza with no crust like the detroit-style pizza from my other favorite: ā¤ļø so yeah, when i eat pizza, i always have a plate left of ā€œpizza bonesā€, EXCEPT when i eat .pizza.

there is something about the dough from doughbaby that i find irresistible. the flavor is unlike any other dough, i can’t really put my finger on it. and the texture is exactly how i like my pizza crust: chewy, substantial… i would eat that crust just by itself and be happy!! and i can’t say that about other pizza! (i know some people will think that is blasphemy, but that is just my humble opinion.)

best crust in seattle: doughbaby pizza.

not only that, but kala was the first person to take a chance on me when we were trading pies for loaves of bread and offered me the opportunity to pop up with her . she really showed me that grayseas pies was totally possible. infinite thanks .pizza for showing me the way.

all in all: dope human, dope pizza. the end. can’t wait for more pizza from kala. no pizza bones with doughbaby ;)ā€

Transition is hard. This seems to be an extended moment of big transition.

We are currently looking for a new kitchen to house the Doughbaby production for both bread and pizza, ->or just pizza if need be (because bread production has a lot of side and time requirements). Hopefully something will work out soon, but until then, our pizza events and bread sales will be on pause.

The support I’ve seen since being back in Seattle has just blown me away. It’s a bit heartbreaking to have to pause things for a bit knowing that the support is there, but I have faith that things will work out and that something wonderful will come out of all of these changes and roadblocks.

Thank you

We're going to be at BAR HOUSE 😱! This Saturday 7/10, after a morning at the , we're going to unpack the bread gear, and repack pizza gear to bring the za to Fremont.

Am I insane, yes. Am I keeping the same menu as last week to try to mitigate some of that insanity. YES. Also it was really good, heh.

We're going to do walk-ups only this time around. Don't all come at 7. That won't work well. (Y'all are going to all show up at 7 right? facepalm...see ya then, bring the patience).

This is an appreciation post.

My return to Seattle has been somewhat of a rocky road, & it isn’t going to be super smooth anytime soon. I’m trying to accept that & go with it. Personally, I’m going through a period of big transition. Professionally, things are going so well that sleep has become a thing of the past. Hopefully I can sustain this until I can bring on a small crew regularly.

The truth is that I would have thrown in the towel about a week ago if it weren’t for some truly amazing folks that stepped up & helped me. Here are some of the things I've needed a hand with & a bit about the folks that kept me afloat:
**

Slide 1
The head gasket in the dough-mobile van blew a few days after I returned from Tepic AND while I was in the midst of moving out of my previous home (for not-so-happy reasons). The folks (same folks I worked for in Tepic, Nayarit) stepped in & offered to lend me a pickup truck so that Doughbaby could continue to exist. It’s been getting me & my bread/pizza all around Seattle for over a week now while I wait on the van's new engine to be installed.
**

Slide 2
After some very disappointing test runs in a commissary kitchen, I started a conversation with the folks . They immediately asked if I wanted some help & invited me to chat with them in their new space on 13th & Jefferson. A few hours later, Doughbaby had a home! WHAAAAA?!?s The kitchen is a dream & so are these folks. You need to try their treats if you haven’t yet.
**

Slide 3
All the friends who helped me move out of my house & into my apartment, and were just THERE for me (especially for showing up again & again despite my less than bright mood)…y’all are the real deal.
**

Slide 4
The folks roasters...Christina pulled through BIG time helping me with my first pop up, & in true empath form, they called upon the entire blue train crew to help load up the truck at the end of the night when my body was shutting down.
**

I just don't know how to say how much I appreciate all of these true friends other than to take my turn and show up when called upon.

with all the love --KW

I’ll get back to you on availability. And we’ll work it out.

Walk ups are also happening. Please be patient as I fit you into the line up. But there’s plenty of beer to keep you occupied while you enjoy your wait!

Be gentle and kind. It’s my first pop up after quite the hiatus! I’m probably forgetting something. See you šŸ¤“

Sometimes things don’t go your way. Today was one of those days. The DBB-mobile overheated, the dog got sick all over the bed, and things aren’t going my way during test runs in the new production space.

Good news is we will definitely be seeing you on July 1st to let the pizza times roll. Menu will be posted and orders will open tomorrow afternoon. Excite!

I'm back in Seattle! Can we hang out...errr rather can I make you pizza? Same same.

First of all starting on the 26th you can find me every Saturday at the Maple Valley Farmer's market slinging bread. Yes indeed. That's if I can become friends with the oven at my new baking location, HA

Nextly and most importantly, the events on the second slide of this poster are my first pop ups of the summer!!! I'll be doing a combo of walk-ups and pre-orders for each. Check back here for announcements about when orders are opening, which will be a few days before the event. Pre-orders will still (for now) be taken the via lo-fi DM method.

HUGE thanks to all of the rad folks at the locations tagged below for generously hosting me. More locations and events to come in August!

Payments can be card or cash and will I have a tap/insert square reader.

Hi everyone! I’m about to dive back into Doughbaby full time when I return to Seattle in June. Please help me make this a success by giving a quick vote???

If you know me, you know I don’t like to ask for help of any kind, but I really believe in making Doughbaby into something so I earnestly ask for votes and shares!

With the warmth of a freshly fired pizza šŸ’œ -KW

Doughbaby grew out of loss & into something that sustains me & I hope others. I will use the funds to grow capacity & bring on more folks.

This is going to be a big ask considering I haven’t baked for you all in a while, but I promise I’m bringing Doughbaby back in a big way in June. For now please help me get the bread and za to you in bigger and better ways by going to my bio and voting for me. I have the chance to win $20,000 which will be part of increasing capacity and bringing on some help in the short term. Thank you šŸ’œšŸ’œšŸ’œ
