Hey everyone! Just a heads up that I’ll be taking a break from social media for a bit. During this time, I’ll only be taking referrals, returning clients, and serving as a backup doula with my partner Lex (Doula in the City).

Baby Ariya made a veryyyyy Quick entrance. I am a little speechless and in awe of Brittany Price and her strength. Brittany got the birth she worked and prayed for and it was incredibly beautiful. I always tell clients when they start saying words like “I can’t do it anymore” or “give me the drugs” that’s when the shift happens. That’s when baby is closer than ever before. She trusted her body and boom baby was here in 1.5 pushes! You did your thing girl! Victory pose for the Win!🤎

A young mother (19) suffered a miscarriage (Spontaneous abortion) in GA, mid October.
Denied the life saving procedure (D&C)
Now she’s on life support.

I know I won’t be able to catch wind of every story but I’ll share them as I do. I don’t care if you get tired of it. This is heartbreaking!

1 in 4 women experience miscarriage (sometimes multiple!!) which is not something that is preventable. What is preventable is the outcome. It doesn’t have to end in death. How many more will we lose?!

You should not consider yourself a birth worker if you voted against reproductive rights. You’re dangerous.

How can you encourage and teach advocacy? How can you protect your clients birthing space if you don’t agree they deserve bodily autonomy?!
