The persistent dismissal of concepts of animal, plant, and earth intelligences—rooted in Western cultural hubris—has contributed to a profound separation between humanity and the more-than-human world. Emerging research in ethology, ecology, and botany reinforces insights long embedded in Indigenous wisdom traditions and mythologies, offering new pathways for understanding our interconnectedness with all life. Our conference brings together interdisciplinary perspectives to examine these relationships across diverse cultural, ecological, and mythic frameworks.
