Burnout is not a badge of honour.

some of us have been there

Each time, we would tell our self that we could handle it.
That we are smart enough to push through.

But burnout doesn’t care how smart you are.

It humbles you.

Our brains would be fogged up.
We'd loss interest in what we once loved
We ghosted our own platforms.

We thought we needed more hustle.
What we really needed was:

→ Less noise
→ More sleep
→ Quiet walks without interruptions
→ Family over followers
→ Therapy over to-do lists

Now lets follow the 4 A’s of stress relief:

1. Avoid
→ Say no to things that drain you
→ Walk away from chaotic people or places
→ Create space before your day begins

2. Alter
→ Speak up before resentment builds
→ Set limits on time and energy
→ Communicate how you feel without blaming

3. Adapt
→ Let “good enough” be enough
→ Focus on what’s going right
→ Ask: Will this matter in 5 years?

4. Accept
→ Some things are outside your control
→ Talk it through with someone who gets it
→ Forgive. Especially yourself.

Your work is not more important than your health.
Your success is not more important than your sanity.

And hustle bros won’t visit you in the hospital.

Stay human.
Stay balanced.

To the many man and woman who are finding it hard to let go of past relationships...
:
- Accept your emotions: Don’t suppress your feelings—acknowledge them. Healing takes time, and allowing yourself to grieve the loss of the relationship is part of moving forward.
- Reflect, but don’t dwell: Learn from the past, but don’t let it define your future. Think about what the relationship taught you and how you’ve grown from it.
- Cut contact (for now): Maintaining distance helps create emotional space. Unfollow, mute, or block if needed—not out of resentment, but for your own peace.
- Focus on yourself: Dive into hobbies, set new personal goals, and nurture your friendships. Self-growth makes moving on easier.
- Avoid romanticizing: It’s easy to remember only the good moments, but remind yourself of the reasons why you parted ways.
- Seek closure: Sometimes writing a letter (even if you don’t send it) can help express lingering emotions and provide a sense of closure.
- Stay open to new beginnings: This isn’t just about future relationships—it’s about finding joy in the present and embracing life with fresh perspective.
You’ve got this! What part of letting go feels hardest for you right now?

Did you know that *positive discipline* focuses on developing a healthy relationship with your child and setting expectations around behaviour?

The good news for every parent is it works and here are some of the ways you can start putting it into practice:

*1. Praise the positives*
As parents we often focus on our children’s bad behaviour and call it out. Encouraging good behaviour helps reduce the need for discipline.

*2. Set clear expectations*
Telling your child exactly what you want them to do is much more effective than telling them what not to do.

*3. Use calm consequences*
Part of growing up is learning that if you do something, something can happen as a result. Defining this for your child encourages better behaviour and teaches them about responsibility.

💐 International Women’s Day 2025 is almost here!

👵 Did you know that women live longer, but not necessarily healthier?

Women outlive men by 5 years on average, yet many older women struggle to access healthcare due to age and gender discrimination.

⚠️ They are more likely to be caregivers, experience higher rates of disability, and suffer from functional decline—yet less likely than men to get the care they need.

❤️‍🩹We must talk about this. Health equity for women means supporting them at every stage of life.

WHO has a unique chatbot for women, where you can get essential information to make informed decisions about your health. It’s completely free and available in multiple languages.

Some of the topics include:

🔹 PCOS
🔹 Endometriosis
🔹 Family planning
🔹 Heart health
🔹 Diabetes
🔹 Cervical cancer
🔹 Breast cancer

🦻 March 3 will be World Hearing Day!

🌍 Hearing loss affects over 1.5 billion people worldwide, and by 2050, that number could rise to 2.5 billion.

The good news? Many cases can be prevented with early intervention and care.

Warning signs of hearing loss include:

🔹 Difficulty hearing other people and following conversations
🔹 Frequently asking others to repeat themselves
🔹 Persistent ringing in the ear (tinnitus)
🔹 Speech and other sounds seem muffled
🔹 Listening to music or TV at higher volumes than usual

To protect your hearing:

🎧 Keep volume below 60% and use noise-canceling headphones
🔕 Take breaks and limit time spent in loud environments
🙉 Wear ear protection, such as ear plugs, at concerts and noisy workplaces
📱 Use apps to track and manage your sound exposure levels

There is something you can do that may help you live longer after a colon cancer diagnosis, and you can start it on your own, at your home or a gym.

After a colon cancer diagnosis, there can still be healthy years ahead, experts said. Regular physical activity may be an important part of that, research suggests.

Did you know that…

⚠️ Over 200 diseases are caused by eating contaminated food.

🥘 1 in 10 people worldwide fall ill from contaminated food each year.

👶🏽 40% of the foodborne disease burden is carried by children under 5.

💵 US$ 110 billion is lost each year in productivity and medical expenses resulting from unsafe food in low- and middle-income countries.

Foodborne illnesses are usually infectious or toxic in nature and caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites, or chemical substances entering the body through contaminated food.

💡 Access to sufficient amounts of safe and nutritious food is key to sustaining life and good health.

🍎 Safe food supplies also contribute to food and nutrition security, support national economies, trade and tourism, and underpin sustainable development.

Food safety is everyone’s business, here’s what you can do:

*Practice* safe food handling at home: keep it clean, separate raw and cooked food, cook food thoroughly, keep food at safe temperatures and use safe water and raw materials.

*Learn* how to keep food safe before, during, and after emergencies, such as floods, fires, natural disasters or the loss of power.

*Know* how to report poor hygiene standards and misleading food labelling.

Did you know that every day, almost 500 children lose their lives due to road traffic crashes – which is a child lost every three minutes.

We UNICEF believe that every child should survive and thrive in a healthy and safe environment, and reduction of child road traffic injuries, deaths and environmental impacts are critical to achieve this aim.

The new Global Status Report on Child and Adolescent Road Safety addresses critical road safety issues for children and adolescents. Read it here:
