For some reason in 2024 I had FOMO on all things wellness. I got stuck in comparison mode and I was worried that what I was doing was not enough or that there was something better on the market.

I work full time, I have a busy household and I became burnt out. The exact opposite of what I was looking for with my health and it felt like I took a thousand steps back to where I was at the start of my wellness journey many years ago.

I was trying to do it all and I kept wanting to add more and more to my wellness cart. I was doing the exact opposite of what I believed in and I ended up neglecting some of the things in my Wellness Cart that were an integral part of my wellness and that I loved.

The start of 2025 has been about cleaning up my Wellness Cart. The drawers were overflowing, they were cluttered and so much good stuff was collecting dust and not being used.

Wellness should not be complicated. There will always be something better. There will always be new technology. There will always be new trends/fads in the market. There is always going to be something more that you could be doing.

Let me remind you that you cannot do it all…unless your sole job 24/7, 365 days/yr is your wellness and you also make a million dollars a year.

My point of all this…Find what works for you and your lifestyle, use those supplies, stay in your lane and keep your Wellness Cart clutter free:)

I have been asked why I post so much about RFK since I am in Canada. Here is my response…health matters all over the world but USA is our neighbouring country and what happens there will undoubtedly have a ripple effect in our country.

With the rates of chronic disease at an all time high change needs to happen. And I believe RFK will make positive changes. Our children deserve better!!!

Whether or not you like him I think we can all agree that the health of USA and Canada need to change and honestly the change has to start within each and every one of us.

A healthy lifestyle should not be intense. It is is not about all or nothing. Consistency is where it is at!! Showing up daily with your Wellness Cart in some way is how you make sustainable lifestyle changes.

I have recently added a shot of EVOO to my Wellness Cart and my daily wellness routine. I went into On Tap Oil & Vinegar and I decided to purchase the robust ultra premium EVOO for this reason only. It may not taste the best but it had the best health benefits:).

A daily shot of extra virgin olive oil can support digestion, reduce inflammation, promote heart health, and nourish your gut with healthy fats.

Today I turn 45 years old!! The first picture is me today and the second picture is me 10 years ago. I am proud of my body, not only because of the appearance but because I have carried 2 babies (had a c-section for one) and I have survived Urachal Bladder Cancer where I had my belly button and half my bladder cut out.

I don’t have a massive before and after transformation because I have been living my same lifestyle for as long as I can remember. It has been far from perfect but I consistently choose to use the tools in my Wellness Cart every day and continually add to it year after year.

There is no quick fix or magic pill to take…it is a simple, basic and sometime boring lifestyle that works.

My last reel was about including 30 different plant foods into your nutrition each week. Some may think that is way too hard, but here is a typical day of eating for me and I will show you just how easy it can be.

Yogurt Bowl: h**p seeds, oats, raspberries (3)

Breakfast Cookie: pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, cocoa nibs (3)

Quinoa Bowl: quinoa, sweet potato, brussel sprouts, walnuts, apple, cinnamon (6)

Quesadilla: green onion, cilantro, avocado, tomatoes (4)

That is 16 different plant foods in just one day. I still have 6 more days to add in 14 different plant based foods.

Your gut microbes love diversity and the best way to give them what they love is through whole foods!
