I often get this question because energy therapy is a hard concept to explain. Itโ€™s something you need to experience to truly understand.

When we begin our remote session, I'll call and find out how you are feeling and what you would like me to work on. Then I do the focused energy therapy session and call you back when I'm finished. During the callback, I will let you know if I had any impressions or thoughts during the session. You can let me know how you're feeling and what you may have noticed. We can even do a general energy session, rather than work on something specific. The great thing about energy therapy is your body will take the focused energy and send it where it needs to go.

Often, clients end the session feeling a sense of deep relaxation and mental clarity. We will seek to balance and unblock your body which will lead to healing.

Do something for yourself today to make you say โ€œaaaaaaahhhhh.โ€ Itโ€™s and I KNOW you deserve it! Weโ€™re all being pulled in so many directions and I hear from so many of you that you find it hard to prioritize yourself. I assure you, you NEED to put yourself at the top of your list. You cannot care for everyone else if youโ€™re running on empty. So, whatโ€™s your favorite way to relax?

Here are a few of mine:
- Massage
- Yoga Class
- Taking a Walk
- Getting a pedicure
- Watching a funny movie Iโ€™ve seen a hundred times
- Take a cat nap (like Jasper!) ๐Ÿฑ

Thereโ€™s no wrong answer here. Whatever you decide to do, it will be right. Just remember that YOU DESERVE IT and youโ€™ll be a better person because youโ€™re taking care of yourself.

๐‡๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ. We all want it. We all dream of having it. In survey after survey, Itโ€™s what people want the most out of life. Hopefully, youโ€™re experiencing it right now!

Today is . Do you know someone who seems to be happy all the time? Have you ever wondered how they do it? If happiness doesnโ€™t come naturally to you, or if youโ€™re just feeling down, here are some tips to help you feel happier:

- Smile (smiling releases dopamine, which makes us happier)
- Exercise (take in a yoga class or take a walk around the block)
- Sleep (we need at least 7 hours each night)
- Play with a pet (Jasper always puts a smile on my face!) ๐Ÿฅฐ
- Practice gratitude (start each day with one thing youโ€™re thankful for)
- Compliment someone (itโ€™s impossible to do this without feeling good yourself)
- Breathe deeper (inhale & count to 7. Exhale and count to 5. Repeat)
- Get into nature (a park, your backyard, a neighborhood garden)

If youโ€™re feeling down, be intentional about practicing happiness. One exercise you can do to boost happiness: when youโ€™re feeling down about something, write that negative thought down, crumple it up, and physically throw it in the trash. Doing this simple exercise can help boost your mood and help you focus on the positive.

This minor inversion allows blood to flow freely throughout the body. And letโ€™s be honestโ€ฆ ๐˜ช๐˜ต ๐˜ซ๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ต ๐˜ง๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ด ๐˜จ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฅ! Youโ€™ll never find me turning down an opportunity to explore this pose. I love it because it allows us to see that ๐™ฅ๐™ค๐™จ๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ซ๐™š ๐™ง๐™š๐™จ๐™ช๐™ก๐™ฉ๐™จ ๐™˜๐™–๐™ฃ ๐™˜๐™ค๐™ข๐™š ๐™›๐™ง๐™ค๐™ข ๐™™๐™ค๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™ก๐™š๐™จ๐™จ. Iโ€™ll walk you through what to do below, but first grab a pillow, bolster, or folded blanket and keep it next to you in case you need it.

- Begin the pose by setting up an uncluttered, cozy space near a wall.
- Sit down, then lower your back to the floor and lie down. Move your hips close to the wall and then bring your legs up the wall. You'll want to ensure that the soles of your feet are facing upwards with both legs above your hips. It might take a bit of adjustment to get comfortable in this position. Feel free to use your bolster or blankets, or place a pillow under your neck.
- Find your comfort. It's ok to wiggle closer to or farther away from the wall.
- Try to relax every part of your body as you continue to keep your legs propped up against the wall.
- Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Try to elongate your breath as you breathe in through your nose and breathe out through the nose again.
- Stay in this posture for at least 5 minutes. 10-15 minutes will provide even more benefits.
- To come out of this pose, bend your knees and push your body away gently from the wall. Gently roll to one side and stay there for a few breaths. Then slowly transition into a seated pose.

This pose is a great energy booster, it can alleviate mild headaches, it can relieve a mild backache, and relaxes tired, cramped feet and legs.

We all know that we canโ€™t be our best for everyone else if we arenโ€™t taking care of ourselves. Self-care is vitally important and means something different to everyone. Today on , I want you to focus on what it means to YOU. We should all schedule time in our day to do SOMETHING for ourselves. Even if itโ€™s a long shower, or 15 minutes to wind down with a good book.

1) Outdoor yoga or take a yoga class
2) Get a massage
3) Hot Epsom salt bubble bath
4) A hike in nature
5) Read a book
6) Meditate
7) Pack a picnic & eat outside
8) Volunteer at your favorite charity

Make your own list. Schedule a day for just YOU. Not only do you deserve it, youโ€™ll be a better human because you did.

Our hips are one of the most important and complex areas of the body. They get a LOT of use and many say we even store our emotions in our hips. Between walking, exercising, and sitting all day, you may find yourself suffering from hip flexor pain (๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถโ€™๐˜ญ๐˜ญ ๐˜ง๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ด ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ถ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜จ๐˜ณ๐˜ฐ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐˜จ๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ, ๐˜ธ๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜จ๐˜ฉ ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜ด ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ ๐˜ฑ๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ท๐˜ช๐˜ด.) When youโ€™re seated, your knees are bent and your hip muscles are flexed and often shorten (or tighten). One of the best yoga poses to combat a sore hip flexor is the low lunge (๐˜ˆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ซ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜บ๐˜ข๐˜ด๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ข).

Iโ€™m going to walk you through how to do this pose:
- Start in Downward Facing Dog/Adho Mukha Svanasana.
- As you exhale, step your front foot forward between your hands. Be sure that your ankle is directly below your front knee. Lower your back knee to the floor, sliding your back foot backward until you feel a nice stretch in your hip and thigh.
- Keep both hips low and level with each other.
- As you inhale, engage your lower belly to protect your spine while you lift your chest away from the thigh. You should feel a nice stretch as you create more space between your thigh and ribs. Sweep both arms up alongside your ears.
- Look straight ahead or come into a very gentle backbend with your gaze to your thumbs.
- As you exhale, lower your hands back down and step back to Downward Facing Dog.

Hi friends. The world seems especially heavy latelyโ€ฆ notably for women. I have several friends reeling from traumas that have resurfaced over the past couple of weeks. When everything in the world feels out of our control, I want to encourage you to focus on what you CAN control, even when that feels REALLY hard.

I want to help ease some of the burdens you are feeling. All the traumas we carry physically, emotionally, and psychologically create disturbances in our energy pathways. Hi. My name is Angie and Iโ€™m a recovering overthinker. Iโ€™ve found that thinking too much wreaks havoc on my mind and my relationships. Itโ€™s a self-destructive behavior that leads to anxiety and paranoia affecting all areas of my life While itโ€™s not possible to turn off my overthinking mind all the time, Iโ€™ve found that yoga and Energy Therapy have both been instrumental in increasing my focus and attention to positive, actionable areas of my life.

If the world seems to be draining your energy lately, youโ€™re not alone. Weโ€™re all feeling pressure from every direction. If youโ€™re in need of a quick energy boost, try an energizing yoga pose like Camel Pose (๐˜œ๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ด๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ข).

Any pose that opens your heart invites energy. Camel pose can both invite optimism and release pent-up energy. This pose allows us to unfold, roll back the shoulders, and feel the support of our spine as we raise our hearts, releasing any negative energy weโ€™ve been holding onto. It then allows us to dive into the new energy that comes in.

For this pose, kneel with your toes tucked under your feet, your shoulders rolled back, and make sure your core is engaged.
- Inhale and lift your chest up while lengthening your spine.
- Exhale while you come to a gentle backbend that opens your chest to the sky. Place your hands on your lower back, fingers facing up, or reach back for your heels (donโ€™t be afraid to use yoga blocks positioned just outside each heel) if that is accessible for you. Keep your neck in a neutral position.
- Breathe into this position for a few breaths as you make sure your inner thighs, core, and back muscles are engaged.
- Inhale and slowly come back to a resting seated position.

This pose is great for respiratory ailments, mild lower backaches, fatigue, anxiety, and menstrual discomfort. It also aids in digestion.

Weโ€™ve known for a long time that exercise has many benefits for our bodies. Recently, it has been found to help prevent our brains and even help prevent Alzheimerโ€™s disease and dementia. Up to โ…“ of Alzheimerโ€™s cases are PREVENTABLE through lifestyle changes, including physical exercise.

A team at UCLA found that a three-month course of yoga and meditation practice minimized the cognitive and emotional problems that often precede Alzheimerโ€™s disease and other forms of dementia. They found it was even more effective than memory enhancement exercises. If youโ€™re an older adult and youโ€™re concerned about cognitive decline, Iโ€™d love to help you on your journey.

Upward-Facing Dog Pose (ลชrdhva Mukha Svฤnฤsana) is a great pose for fighting depression and mild anxiety. This position opens your heart which helps you remove any pent-up emotions in your chest. It also works to regulate your respiratory system bringing clarity to your heart and mind. It has an overall rejuvenating effect on the body, and all the stress trapped in your back will disappear.

Follow these steps:
1) Lie flat on your stomach on your yoga mat.
2) Keep the balls of your feet facing upward, with your toes pointing down.
3) Place your palms facing down on the mat near your shoulder blades.
4) Push into your palms to elevate your upper body, smoothly curving the spine.
5) Lift your chest and head while keeping your shoulders back.
6) Lengthen your body from head to toe.
7) Take a few deep breaths here before gently releasing the posture.

Life is cyclical. It flows from beautiful to hard, to beautiful again. Sometimes, it can be tough to get through the hard parts and I want you to know you're not alone in your feelings or your struggles. When life gets overwhelming, I do my very best to lean into my yoga practice and focus on the healing powers of energy therapy. The calming movements in yoga soothe my hurting heart and help me remember and look forward to the beautiful parts again.
