She served as Program Manager of the Renal Disease Control Program (REDCOP–NKTI) from 2000 to 2021 and as a consultant for the NKTI Occupational Health and Safety Unit from February 2015 to October 2024. Through these roles, she championed kidney health promotion, disease prevention, and the holistic well-being of the NKTI workforce.
Beyond NKTI, Dr. Jorge also contributed immensely to medical education and physician training through her leadership in the Philippine College of Physicians (P*P). She served as a Member of the Committee on Residency Training Program (2013–2017), and as the Vice Chair from 2017–2025. She also headed the P*P Subcommittee on Wellness Program, where she advanced initiatives for resident well-being and professional growth.
Her warmth, wisdom, and integrity will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege to work with and learn from her.
The NKTI Division of Internal Medicine, together with the entire NKTI family, extends its deepest sympathies to Dr. Manuel Jorge and family. Dr. Susan Jorge’s legacy of compassion, service, and excellence will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
