We will miss you Dan. I'll start by sharing a story of his love for shoes and showcasing his generous spirit. At the time we first moved to Portland, we could barely afford anything, but Dad wanted to make my day. So he took me shopping. My mom made it clear that we could only buy one pair. However, my dad knew I was eyeing two pairs and then sneakily said, "Let's get you both." He was always so generous with his love as well as monetary things. We got home and mom was so mad, but to my dad, it was worth it to lift my spirits through such a difficult time.
