Hi LoveBodyYogis ❀

It's breaking my heart to make this post, but here goes nothing...

As you may have noticed, I haven't been posting regularly on here for the past couple of weeks. This is because I haven't felt inspired to do so.
Don't get me wrong, I still 100% stand behind my previous posts and the common themes they follow (celebrating a yogic lifestyle, anti-diet, health at every size, movement for everyone), but I am finally entering a stage of my life where I feel ready to move on from this type of work.
When I say this type of work, I mean advocating and educating in the realm of body positivity and eating disorder recovery. It has been such a big part of my life for the past 10 years, and while I do not regret any of it, I am ready to forge a new path for myself. Taking time to tune into my true Self and get curious about what I REALLY want in this life has allowed me to realize that as much as I wanted Yoga for Body Love to be amazing and successful and help lots of people heal their relationships with their bodies, continuing on this path was likely to lead to burnout as it's keeping me "stuck" in an identity that I'm ready to let go of.

I hope you can forgive me, and that you continue on the path of healing.

I am going to keep this page alive, although I won't be posting as regularly. Please feel free to stay, make posts and interact with other members, or head out if that's what's best for you.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being on this journey with me thus far. I sincerely hope that you continue to be curious about your relationships with yourself, your body, food, and movement, and always try your best to give yourself the same love and compassion that you would give to loved ones. You always have been, and always will be, perfect just the way you are.

✨ "Lower your expectations. Let me be clear - when I say 100 days of yoga, I’m talking something every day, even if it was a seven-minute stretch at bedtime."

✨ "Do what feels right for you. Do it in activewear or pyjamas. Play background music or don’t. Do it at night, in the morning, or right before you leave for school pick-up in the afternoon. One time I even did a session on the grass next to the local skate park, much to my eight-year-old’s horror. You do you."

✨ "...about 25 days into my challenge, I realised it was how I felt on the inside that was the biggest transformation, not any kind of outside vanity metric. I felt stronger. My back felt good. Daily movement felt easier. I could throw my kids around with a new vitality and I’m absolutely 100 per cent convinced I’m taller. Or at least my posture has improved tenfold. I might not have a washboard stomach, but I feel goooood."

On this Wise Words Wednesday, I'd like to share one of my favourite quotes from one of my favourite mental health speakers/advocates, Kevin Breel.

As someone who lives with depression, I interpret his words to mean that while it can feel good to try and "live in the light" as much as possible, it can be just as harmful to completely disregard the darkness that still exists inside and around us. Taking the time to honour and be present in the darkness can sometimes be what we need to work through it in order to move more fully into the light.

I hope that you are able to acknowledge the darkness while still finding light in the day to day. Because without the darkness, we may never completely appreciate the beauty of the light.

Wouldn't it be cool if Canada did something similar? πŸ€” Justin Trudeau



With a sudden spike in number of coronavirus cases in capital, the Delhi Government has decided to provide free customized online yoga classes for COVID patients in home isolation.
