Kelly Cavanaugh - GRIEF Support I support people in the process of releasing grief and help them to embrace life and find joy again. kellycavanaughgriefsupport.com No more pain...

We don't talk about death and dying in our culture! It's taboo... we sweep death quietly under the rug and pretend it's not there even when our hearts are breaking open! It's time to bring death out of the dark and into the light where it's not so scary. We're all grieving something... whether it's the loss of a loved one from death or divorce, the loss of a job or a pet... the loss of our health, our youth, or our children leaving home. I support women and men who are finding it difficult to recover from the deep sorrow and heartbreak of a loss. We work together to break free from that place of pain to the other side where there is joy and peace.

Who are you…? Do you know? http://wp.me/p4pLTr-dk

I believe that life is an amazing gift... And I also realize how trite that comment might seem, but when you've been to the edge, in danger of getting swallowed up by the darkness, no matter if it was only for a few days, hours, or just a few moments (let alone years or even decades!), it can be utterly terrifying... True

The ending of a physical life is not the ending of life. There is a saying, When one door closes, another one opens. If we can look at death in this way, as a door closing, we can find comfort in knowing that a new door is about to open.

Today's top photo is a pretty powerful one.

In China several doctors bow to an 11 year old boy diagnosed with terminal brain cancer who managed to save the lives of several others by donating his organs shortly after he passed.

Incredibly touching.
