Oppose CMS' Proposed Anesthesia Conversion Factor Cuts
In the 2026 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule proposed rule, CMS has proposed to arbitrarily apply a 2% cut to the practice expense and malpractice adjustment portion of the anesthesia conversion factor. Offering little explanation of how this cut was determined, the CMS proposal would reduce anesthesia’s allowed Medicare charges by more than $53 million.
Please urge CMS to withdraw this highly concerning and unjustifiable cut from the 2026 anesthesia conversion factor.

Support New Doc Fix Legislation
New bipartisan legislation, the Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act, would reverse the 2.83 percent Medicare payment cut that went into effect at the start of the year, and also provide a 2 percent update for the 2025 year. This “Doc Fix” is long overdue and Congress should take action immediately. Complete the form to the side and ask your lawmaker to support this legislation.

We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Dr. George Mark, a beloved member of The Heart House family. Dr. Mark was respected and admired in the medical community for his exceptional skill, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his patients. As a dedicated cardiologist and electrophysiologist, he touched countless lives with his expertise and care.

Beyond his professional life, Dr. Mark cherished his time with his family, whether making homemade pasta on Sundays, tailgating before Eagles games, or spending peaceful moments golfing and fishing. His love for history, travel, and cooking filled his life with joy, but nothing brought him more happiness than being with his wife and children.

Our hearts go out to his family and friends during this difficult time. The entire Heart House community will miss him dearly.
