I know what it’s like when your gut holds you back.

When every outfit choice revolves around bloat…
When going out means scoping the nearest toilet…
When the idea of sport or a social event feels more stressful than fun.

I used to suffer from ‘runner’s diarrhoea.’
Not exactly ideal in the middle of a 9K run.

But today, I ran over 11K — no toilet stops, no anxiety.
I wore what I wanted, ate what I knew worked, and felt free.

That’s what I want for your child or teen.

✅ To feel confident in their body.
✅ To say yes to football clubs, sleepovers and birthday cake.
✅ To not be the one who always has to sit out.

Their gut doesn’t need to hold them back.
I’ll show you how.

💬 Comment “VIDEO” and I’ll send you my free video series to help you get started.

I’ve been feeling a little sad this month. Quietly low. And while I kept showing up for work and family, behind the scenes I was working toward something just for me…

🟡 A return to 9K runs — despite being told I have no cartilage left in my knees.

With the support of my brilliant strength coach , I’ve shed the majority of my mummy weight gain and rebuilt my confidence, strength and sense of me.

This week, I ran 9K for the first time in years! And I’m so proud.

You may already know I have IBS-D — and with any gut–brain condition, what you do for the brain matters just as much as what you do for the gut.

Running is like my weekly therapy. It helps me reset. I crave it like some people crave sleep after a long day.

But I know running isn’t for everyone, especially if you’re managing chronic pain or fatigue. We all have different tools. Other ways I protect my emotional wellbeing:

✔️ Listing what I’m grateful for
✔️ Early bedtime + a wicked play list
✔️ Letting myself cry when I need to
✔️ Laughing with my kids — the chaos and the cuddles
✔️ Feeling purposeful in my work
✔️ Being honest with myself and people I trust

💬 What helps you and your child feel calm, connected and mentally well?

You don’t have to be perfect to take care of yours or your child’s gut. And you don’t have to have it all together to celebrate how far you’ve come. 🌿

“Wait… not all children need a multivitamin?”
That’s one of the questions I answered live on this week — and it always surprises people.

Here’s what most parents don’t realise:
👉🏽 Most healthy kids don’t need a multivitamin — but some do benefit from targeted supplements, depending on where the gaps are in their diet.

It was a short segment (with more focus on adult supplements), but I managed to share a few things that might surprise you — especially about vitamin D, iron, and why gummy vitamins aren’t always as harmless as they seem.

🎙️ I’ll share more in tomorrow’s talking-to-camera Reel, where I will break down:

👶🏽The one supplement all UK kids actually need

👦 What I recommend for dairy-free or plant-based children

👧🏼 When gummies are fine — and when they’re not

What questions come up for you about supplements for kids?

Drop them in the comments — I’d love to answer them 👇🏽

Wondering if your child’s early gut health could still be affecting them now?

The first 1,000 days are critical for shaping your child’s microbiome — but that doesn’t mean it’s too late if your child is now older and struggling with gut symptoms.

In fact, I work with so many families who say:
💬 “They were fine as a baby… but now food causes pain.”
💬 “We never got answers back then — and we still don’t know what’s going on.”

It’s not your fault for not having the right information earlier.
And it’s not too late to get support.

The gut can be nurtured and rebalanced — even years later — with the right steps.
That’s exactly what I walk you through in my free video series.

✨ If your child is struggling with constipation, IBS, or tummy aches — comment VIDEO and I’ll send it straight to you (or grab it via the link in bio ).

✨ Imagine this…

Your 9-year-old is curled up in pain.
Again.
Not just tummy aches — but migraines, limb pain, missed school, and total fear around food.
You’re watching them fade away from PE, birthday parties, life.
And no one can give you answers.

Now imagine this instead:

They’re back at school.
Eating with confidence.
Running in PE. Laughing again.
You know exactly what to feed them — and why it works.

That’s the transformation this family experienced after we worked through the Happy Belly Formula — a step-by-step method that finds the root cause of gut symptoms and creates a plan tailored to your child.

✅ No more guesswork.
✅ No more generic diets.
✅ Just clarity, relief and real results.

If your child’s tummy pain still feels like a mystery…

Today I had the absolute pleasure of presenting and chairing a full-day, in-person study event for healthcare professionals — with 100 dietitians and medics attending.

🎤 I opened the day with a session on one of my favourite topics:
The gut microbiome and the role of prebiotics, probiotics and synbiotics in cow’s milk allergy.

We explored how early life influences (including birth mode, feeding, fibre intake and biotic interventions) shape the developing microbiome — and what that means for immune development and allergy risk.

It was a privilege to guide the day’s agenda, keep energy high, and host our brilliant speakers.
Huge thanks to for the invitation and opportunity to connect with such a passionate room of clinicians.

💬 If you’re a parent wondering how the microbiome links to allergies or tummy symptoms, stay tuned — I’ll be breaking this down in parent-friendly posts soon.

I’m Bahee, a registered paediatric dietitian specialising in IBS, gut health and tummy troubles in children. This week, I’m in Greece for the Nutrition & Growth Conference, diving into the latest research on kids’ nutrition and gut health.

It’s been amazing to meet colleagues from across the world, including Angharad and Ellie from my BDA paediatric specialist group ( , ) which I currently chair. Conversations about gut health, growth and children’s nutrition? Right up my street!

But let’s talk about the food for a moment… WOW. Greek salads, perfectly grilled vegetables and that golden olive oil—every bite is packed with flavour. It’s a reminder that gut-friendly food doesn’t have to be boring!

🌱 A little about me if we haven’t met yet—I help parents figure out why their child’s tummy troubles keep coming back, whether it’s IBS, constipation, diarrhoea, or food sensitivities and intolerances. My goal? To help kids enjoy food without unnecessary restrictions or confusing tests.

💬 What’s one food you could never get tired of eating? Let me know below! 👇

✨ If your child struggles with tummy troubles, DM me “GUT HEALTH” and I’ll send you my free guide to get started.
