✨🪘 Ubuntu Healing Circle – 3rd August 2025 🪘✨

Yesterday, we gathered in the spirit of Ubuntu – I am because we are.

We drummed to welcome our ancestors and raise the vibration.
We meditated to recharge our Ashé and set intentions grounded in reciprocal energy.
We poured libation and remembered Emancipation Day – honouring the resilience of those who came before us, while speaking truth about how racism continues to show its face: in blatant acts, in microaggressions, and even sometimes from within our own families.

We held space for a deep, honest conversation:
🌿 The sacredness of anger as ancestral fire.
🌿 The need for softness as a radical act of love.
🌿 The realities of anti-Blackness and the different experiences we hold depending on our shade, heritage, and privilege.

We closed in gratitude, dedicating the energy of our gathering to our collective healing and liberation. And as a rumoured far-right march moved through the city, we sent our own waves of love, strength, and protection into the street…

“Ubuntu is a healing affinity space rooted in African-Caribbean and indigenous ancestral traditions and the spirit of Ubuntu, ‘I am Because We Are’”

We come together in community, in resistance, and in love — to remember, to restore, and to rise.

This month’s gathering includes:
• African Drumming
• Meditation
• Libations
• Yoga
• Sharing Circle

Open to all who identify as Black, Brown, Mixed Race or as People of Colour / the Global Majority.

We centre holistic wellbeing, ancestral connection and community.

Today, we gathered in circle. We meditated, released, recharged. We poured libation, gave thanks to the Most High, and called on the Ancestorsto walk with us, to guide, bless and protect us.We shared our pain, our rage, our vulnerability—and stood in radical solidarity and understanding. We dismantled colonial lies from our bodies and minds. We honoured the sacred truth: “I am because we are.” and“We are because they were”We reclaimed joy, spirit, and fire.We dreamed of revolutionary futures rooted in healing, justice and love.We sang, drummed, prayed, and moved through grief into freedom. We remembered who we are.Unapologetically. Powerfully. Together.Ubuntu always.Asé. Amen. Ayibobo! And so it is 🙏🏽✨
