🌍 World Humanitarian Day is a global reminder of the courage and compassion of those who dedicate their lives to helping others.

This year, we also highlight the vital role of healthcare in humanitarian work—because in times of crisis, access to safe treatment, medicine, and emotional support can mean the difference between life and loss.

From doctors and nurses on the frontlines, to communities supporting each other in vulnerable moments, healthcare is at the heart of humanity. đź’™

Let’s honor those who bring healing, hope, and dignity to people everywhere.

We talk about treatment protocols, survival rates, and clinical outcomes.
But what about the fear? The loneliness? The exhaustion that doesn’t show up in scans?
What about the burden of caring for others, while you can barely care for yourself?

Whether you’re a patient, a caregiver, or a healthcare professional - struggling mentally doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong. It means you’re human.

If silence means strength, then let's be weak together and talk about the mental health in the shadows. We may find out we're all in there, and only together we can get back out into the light.

Sharing is indeed caring, when it comes to mental health.

Same medicine. Different countries. Different rules.
Why should where you live decide whether you get the treatment you need?
At Everyone.org, we help patients access approved medicines from other countries — safely, legally, and with expert support.

Sometimes, we have to search for a medicine on the other side of the world.

It takes hours of work—
thinking on our feet,
pushing our partners,
advocating for a patient waiting to begin treatment.

The system doesn’t make it easy to access novel medicines across borders. But we’re here to find solutions for anyone who needs them.

However complex the journey, the destination matters most: you.
You deserve every possible option.
And we’ll do everything we can to get it for you.

Lung cancer is tough to treat.

But when it’s caught early - and when novel therapies like targeted drugs or immunotherapy are used right away - outcomes can improve dramatically.

If only patients outside the U.S. and EU could access these breakthroughs as easily...

On World Lung Cancer Day - and every day - we stand for equal access to medicines.
Because that’s the best outcome, for everyone.

This is why we do what we do.

A patient needs a medicine they can’t access—stuck in approval and availability processes that take years. We step in, and they receive it the next day.

But we don’t do it alone. Every supplier, logistics partner, and pharmacy that goes the extra mile with us makes this possible. We’re deeply grateful for every partnership—because together, we can say bold things like:
“It was impossible until we did it.”

And they’ll be true.

A new treatment option for generalized myashtenia gravis (gMG) was approved in May 2025 in the USA, with the potential to address up to 70% of the patient population.

If you're affected and based outside the USA, here's what you should know about the expected timeline for approval and availability in Europe, the UK, and beyond. Including your options for accessing the medicine before it's in your country - safely, legally, and quickly.

Until recently, treatment options for neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) were limited to surgery and symptom management. However, in February 2025, a new treatment option got its FDA approval.

That's great news but what if you're not in the USA?

Check out our recent blog article to learn when the new NF1 medicine is expected to be available in the EU, UK, and beyond.

Since 2010, more than 17 treatments for sarcoma have been approved. The science, while complex, is moving forward. Progress is possible.

And yet, only 2 of those medicines are widely available outside the US and EU.

In sarcoma, access - not innovation - has become the bigger hurdle. And patients are the ones paying the price for delays.

This Sarcoma Awareness Month, be aware of the problem. And be aware of the solutions already in motion - many driven by patients themselves. One of them is Everyone.org, where access to medicines happens when the patient needs them, not when the system decides.

We hope you never need us. But if you do - we're here.

Getting patients the medicines they urgently need

TheSocialMedwork is the world’s first global service that helps patients with illnesses like cancer, ALS, Parkinson’s disease access the latest medicines that have been approved by a well reputed country, but are not yet available where they live. Founded in 2015, we source and deliver medicines to patients provided that they have a prescription from their treating doctor.

Based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, we’re registered with the Dutch Ministry of Health (registration number 6730 BEM) and have helped patients in 50 countries and counting.
