I’ve been MIA for quite sometime. I would take pictures of my children’s meals but would never post.

While gone in the past year or so, I’ve made many drastic switches in what I feed my girls and myself. I’ve always stayed away from dyes, but have also eliminated hazardous additives, ones I had NO idea were in SO many foods for absolutely no reason. Some things I’m still in search of a better swap, others I’ve found swaps I’m much happier with. With that said, I’m still always searching for new and better options.

This switch hasn’t just been with the foods we eat, but in overall daily life. Meaning, I’ve swapped laundry detergents, dish soap, cleaning products, hair care, skin care —you name it, I’ve switched it.

So if you still need help with meal ideas for your littles (or even yourself) or are interested in non-toxic choices, stick with me, I’m making a come back!

•Turkey sausage skillet 🍳➡️ with sweet potato, kale, onion and cheese. I wish I could take credit for this but it’s honestly a ‘Jimmydean delight’ breakfast mix. I just added organic eggs! Sometimes we can’t make everything from scratch, and that’s okay.

•Whole wheat toast 🍞🌾

•Berries🍓🫐 ➡️ strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. All packed with a ton of antioxidants, especially blueberries! Antioxidants help protect against certain diseases. They help reduce damage caused by free radicals, a process known as oxidation.

•Tuna with avocado 🥑➡️ on everything ritz crackers. Tuna and avocados are both excellent sources of omega 3 fatty acids as well as lysine, an essential amino acid (protein building block). Omega 3 fatty acids are healthy polyunsaturated fats that are great for brain and heart health. This is especially important for littles as their brain is still developing. Lysine is important as it helps the body convert fatty acids into energy, absorb other important nutrients such as calcium, iron and zinc, and supports the immune system.
