The Rural Health Unit of Magsaysay, together with the DOH Davao Region, successfully conducted a 3-day Roll-out Training on the Philippine Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP) Information System from August 5-7, 2025, at Crisbelle Crown Center, Digos City. This capacity-building activity was actively participated in by Community Volunteer Workers (CVWs), specifically the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), representing all barangays of the municipality.
The training aimed to capacitate community volunteer workers in using the PMNP Information System, particularly the Household Convergence Scorecard (HCSC) - a key tool for tracking and assessing the delivery and convergence of essential health, nutrition, early childhood care and development, and social services to nutritionally at-risk households.
The purpose of the PMNP Information System is to support data-driven planning and monitoring, while the goal of the HCSC is to promote convergence across sectors, identify service gaps, and improve nutrition outcomes - especially in reducing child stunting and ensuring no household is left behind.
This training marks a significant step toward empowering local actors in the implementation of PMNP, reinforcing the commitment of the Municipality of Magsaysay to achieving sustainable an inclusive nutrition outcomes through convergence and community engagement.
