I was very inspired by Counselling Corner's presentation at the Australian Counselling Association Conference and the amazing impact they are having in Myanmar.
It has been a great experience providing Professional Development and Consultation to the Counselling Team each month and I look forward to a continuing partnership in 2026.

When children hear about violent events on the news, it can be hard to help them understand and cope with what happened. Limiting media exposure and making space for them to express big feelings can help children feel safer and more secure.

Fred Rogers shared this advice, to help children find comfort and hope during times of tragedy or disaster. The quote reminds us that even in the midst of chaos and negativity, there are always caring individuals who step up to provide support and aid...

Wanneroo Central is such a vibrant community at Christmas time. Love having my counselling rooms across the road.
Today there was a full Christmas band (conducted by an elf!), free photos with Santa on your own mobile phone (great idea to keep the cost down at this time of the year and almost no waiting time) and an elf on the shelf interactive activity for the whole family!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎶🎶🎶🎅

Ready to celebrate the end of a series of 10 Protective Behavious Sessions with a very engaged group of Primary School aged girls.

Over the 10 weeks we have explored emotions, feeling safe and unsafe, warning signs, networks, body safety rules, cybersafety, personal space and consent.

If you are interested in further developing your children's abuse prevention skills get a group together and book in for a series of Protective Behaviours and personal safety sessions.

Available on Saturdays or Mondays- great school holiday idea!

Many of parents and children that come to visit my Wanneroo office will pop over to the Wanneroo Central Shops next door. I'm sure if you have ever been into the Kmart there you will know that this award is well deserved for the wonderful door greeter whose smile, dancing and overall friendliness lights up everyone's day!

I developed this Transition to High School Program a few years ago and have facilitated it for year 6 students in full classrooms, small groups and with individual clients.

It is available for purchase for teachers and others who may want to facilitate a transition to high school with a strong focus on social and emotional wellbeing through the 'Teachers Pay Teachers' site (see link below).

There is a power point for the facilitator and a workbook for students/clients (purchased separately).
