Alabama Anesthesiology and Pain Consultants is a multidisciplinary group of professionals dedicated to understanding patients in pain through assessment, diagnosis and treatment of pain related disorders. We utilize multiple modalities including interventional procedures as well as medication management. Our goal is to provide you relief from your pain through a multidisciplinary approach and rehabilitate the patient to a productive lifestyle.

Dr. Edina von Rottenthaler is also certified to treat substance use disorder. We want to help you or your loved one get the help they need to start on the road to recovery.

Our goal at AAAPC is to secure a safe and secure environment for your continued healthcare.

Please understand this is an evolving situation and frequent updates to our plan will be necessary in order to best serve you so check our postings daily.

Our specific recommendations are that the following patients limit their contact with others:

*Patients over 70 years old
*Patients with Lung Disease including COPD, Emphysema, and Asthma
*Patients with poorly controlled Diabetes
*Patients on immunosuppressing drugs for conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus or other autoimmune
processes. These may include but are not limited to drugs such as Plaquenil, Prednisone, Remicade and Methotrexate.
*Patients undergoing treatment for Cancer
*Patients who frequently become ill or hospitalized

Please understand that these are recommendations to keep you safe.

Furthermore, we are offering telemedicine visits that are done over the phone for those patients who may need information about test results or a problem they are having and do not feel comfortable to come in to be seen or cannot come in due to the above conditions. Simply ask that you are requesting a telemedicine visit and it will be treated like any other appointment.

For patients who have fever or respiratory symptoms such as runny nose, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath we ask that you call and do not come into the office. Patients only will be allowed into the office. No visitors unless you require a caregiver.
