Why PUPA?
Everyone knows what a pupa is, right?
According to Wikipedia, A pupa (Latin: pūpa, “doll”; plural: pūpae) is the life stage of some insects undergoing transformation.
As mental health therapists, we see our clients in a state of imbalance, uncertainty, grief, or pain. They need to be helped and supported, as they are transitioning from this challenging state into a new and hopefully better life. In many regards, this brings to mind the analogy of a butterfly: It is going through successive stages of life by metamorphosis, from an egg to a caterpillar, to a pupa and eventually to this magnificent although ephemeral flying creature.
This is a small glimpse at the story behind the making of our parent company, Counselling and Wellbeing by Rebecca. It explains why we chose this logo:
At Pupa.Care, we want to help people out there starting their own transformation and growth journey. From today’s caterpillar, crawling and scrambling through modern concrete and steel jungles, we want to help them form their own cocoon, and get to be a pupa for some time. The time necessary for self-reflection, self-care, self-healing. The time everyone deserves to pause, evolve and become a new and improved self.
