Today as we mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, we would like to extend our thanks to all who served.

In Suffolk, we have a large veterans community, which includes those who completed their National Service.

So if you are a Veteran and are looking after a family member, friend or neighbour, or you are looking after a Veteran and would like some advice or support please do get in touch.

We have some workshops starting on Monday 4th November at Wattisham for Family Carers with an Armed Forces Connection.
A great opportunity to meet other Family Carers and to gain more confidence in your caring role and tips on how to improve your wellbeing.
Oh and rumour has it that there will be a cuppa and biscuits available 😊

Kate, our 'Serving Suffolk Families' Project Lead was privileged to attend 'Suffolk Service of Commemoration for the 80th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings' this evening at St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
A beautiful, reflective and moving service.
Thank you to Royal British Legion Suffolk for the kind invitation.

Poppy and Dandi ready for the journey home after an exhausting but fabulous two days in the Military Village at this year's Suffolk Show.
Thank you to everyone who came along to see us and also to our brilliant staff and volunteers for all of their hard work and dedication over the past few days.
A big thank you to all at the Military Village for making us feel so welcome once again 😊 it was lovely to see so many familiar faces!
We will post some more photographs of the show early next week, but for now, we are all heading home for a cuppa, hot shower and well deserved rest 😊 😴

Our resident Worry Monsters, Poppy and Dandi have their waterproofs at the ready and are looking forward to the 2024 Suffolk Show !
We are in the Military Zone, so please do come and say hello 👋.
Our friendly staff will be there with competitions, some freebie goodies and advice about the support we can offer to family carers.

As well as it being Valentines Day, today also marks 5 years since we first launched the project❤ So today we had a 'Lunch & Learn' for colleagues at Suffolk Family Carers, followed by Cake to celebrate our 5th Birthday.
Poppy & Dandi our resident Worry Monsters certainly enjoyed themselves🥰
Thank you to everyone who has supported the project and watched it evolve over the past 5 years!
We have a busy and exciting year ahead and look forward to continuing to support ' Serving Suffolk Families, Past & Present ' ❤❤❤❤❤
