Hi guys! We hope you're all keeping as well as possible under the current weird and whacky circumstances.

As the new Committee for 20/21 start getting to work (well done to everyone!!), it's a goodbye from us as your Welfare. We want to say a big thank you for supporting us, whether with the charity quiz or this social media page, and anything in between.

We're still here for you all if you need, here's a final post for you to reflect on what quarantine activities you might've been up to, or might still get up to !!

Lots of love always,

Lydia and Rach x

Heya guys,

It’s been a week since we all started social distancing in the UK, and the government announcement tonight has stepped up the need for us to stay home. We know that our international gals are having similar experiences abroad.

We just wanted to check in and remind you that we’re still here for you guys as Welfare and as your pals. We’ll post bits here and there, and as ever, if you fancy a chat, you know where we are for a call or to message.

Times are strange for all of us right now and trying to maintain a positive mentality is a great way to help daily life throughout this period. There may be rogue toilet roll stockpiling going on but humanity is also stepping up to help each other get through this together.

Hopefully you’re all managing to take care of your mental and physical wellbeing, but in case you’re after some tips/info on how to keep the groovy vibes going during quarantine, we’ve got some links for ya.

Hey guys
After popular demand, here are some simple tips on healthy eating!

Eating the right stuff (and avoiding takeaways) can feel like such a mission, but getting your diet a bit healthier can have a really positive impact on you both physically and mentally.

Love,
Lydia and Rachel

It's tricky to get into a healthy routine, especially during winter, so here's part II of ways you can look after your mental health on a day to day basis 🙂

Hello!

Welcome to our UYWAFC Welfare Hub, an interactive platform for us welfare officers to regularly interact with you guys about any and all issues. We are here as friendly support for anything from football to social.

Although we may not know the answers to all your questions and problems, we will signpost you to the relevant people.

Our plan is to put up one post a week with little bits of wellbeing advice, things like healthy eating, routine, mental health, managing uni stress. Hopefully these posts will be amusing and offer a nice break in the day! We’re not experts, but we’re hoping that we’ll cover areas that are useful, if you need it.

This page is for you guys so if there’s advice/information you want us to cover please let us know (maybe you’re addicted to salvos, maybe you have a deep fear of geese, the list goes on). Whilst we’ve set this up as a UYWAFC Welfare page, it’s of course open to anyone who fancies it - college football, futsal, or random university civilians!

Lots of love,
Lydia and Rachel
