It is with a very heavy heart that we are sending this. On Thursday afternoon Kerry Medley, age 32, received her wings. She passed from complications of Varicella pneumonia, a viral pneumonia caused by the chicken pox virus. She was released from this life to join her Mom, Kathy. Kerry is now walking and talking with Kathy and no doubt they are catching up on the time they have been apart. Kerry loved traveling and has visited over 30 national parks and heritage sites. Kerry loved to dine out, but also loved special meals cooked by her caregivers, including mexican and tex mex dishes as well as fish, crab and shrimp. She loved to be in her stander and watch out the window with her big bright blue eyes Kerry is survived by Kristine, her twin sister and Jim Stevenson, parent. Please keep Kristine and Jim in your thoughts and prayers while they navigate this very difficult time. There will be a celebration of Kerry’s life at a later time this summer.

We hope to see you in person, but how you participate is totally up to you. If you choose the virtual option, just register and you can complete your run or walk any time between Saturday April 16 and Saturday April 23. No matter what option you choose you are a winner because you are making a difference in the lives of those impacted by Rett syndrome.

We are only 17 days away from our Annual Family & Friends Pinstripes Event!!! Please come and join us for a day of fun for all! (All free of charge) We will be bowling and enjoying some soft drinks and then move our gathering to enjoy dinner upstairs!! (wheelchair accessible)
