Nova the Rescued Friesian Mare
Nova was sold at auction just before Christmas 2019. Bear Valley Rescue got the winning bid against the meat buyer and I was able to adopt her shortly after that. As soon as I got her home and decided to make her an advocate for the horse rescue world.
Nova is a registered, 13 years old Friesian. She has a very severe case of swayback that was due to being started and bred too young. I will be working closely with her using Equine Kinesiology Taping & Massage and a few other holistic healing techniques to help support and build her core strength up to hopefully lessen some of the sway. I also plan to get her on some nutritional herbal supplements as soon as I pin-point which would benefit her most.
