Yoga Flow with Lisa Mo Freelance E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, YACEP®, Usui Reiki Master, Meditation Instructor I am also a certified Usui Reiki practitioner.

My name is Lisa Molendini and I earned my first 200-hour Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher certification in 2021, focused on power vinyasa yoga. In February of 2023, I completed another 200-hour, broader-based yoga teacher training through the InfinitYoga Training program through NearMe Yoga and Mrida Seva Yoga. I was a cm laude graduate of Susquehanna University with a degree in communicatio

ns (public relations emphasis), and minors in advertising and American history. In addition to my teacher training certifications, I have completed continuing education hours in restorative yoga teacher training, teaching to those at the very beginning of their yoga journey, teaching yoga in challenging times, and more. I strive to expand my knowledge to the many various styles and techniques within the yoga world. I currently teach in-person at the Tree of Life Shoppe in Ringtown, Pennsylvania and River Run Center for the Healing Arts in Weatherly, Pennsylvania, in addition to many special events, workshops, and Zoom classes. I also get to share weekly yoga sessions with the amazing folks doing the hard work at a local addiction recovery center, and offer a “Yoga for All Abilities” class that combines mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and yoga-inspired movement and dance for neurodiverse teens and adults. Additionally, I present "Yoga in the Gallery" each month at the Hazleton Art League's Hayden Family Center for the Arts. I am proud to share that I have offered classes at the annual Northeastern Pennsylvania Yoga Festival at Montage Mountain, the Summit Hill Hootenanny and Inclusion Festival in Pennsylvania, OhmFest Yoga Art and Music Festival in Dover, Delaware, and Ramblefest in Darlington, MD. Many more festivals are on the agenda for 2023. The energy of festivals, along with the amazing people that this convergence of live music and art brings together, make my heart so happy. I’d love to hear about your favorite music festival! As someone who lives with anxiety challenges every day, I truly do not know what I would do without this practice. It is my sincere hope that I can share the benefits and gifts of this practice with others who may also be feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges. In addition to yoga, I love nature and being outdoors, all types of crafting, fussing over my pets, the Sunday crossword, traveling, and making everything into an adventure and/or history lesson. Yoga shouldn’t feel like a test you can fail, yet that’s exactly how many people experience their first class. We sit down with Northeast PA yoga teacher Lisa Molendini, better known as Lisa Mo, to talk about what happens when you stop treating yoga like a performance and start treating it like something you do for yourself. If you’ve ever tried yoga once and walked away thinking “not for me,” this conversation opens a much kinder second door.

Lisa shares how she built a freelance yoga business without a brick-and-mortar studio by meeting people where they already are. Think pop-up yoga in art galleries, at wineries, on farms, and even in a flower-filled greenhouse where students practice among the blooms and leave with a planter. We dig into why non-traditional yoga spaces can make yoga for beginners feel safer, lighter, and more welcoming, especially for anyone who finds gyms or studios intimidating.

We also get practical about the business side: how she uses social media marketing on Facebook and Instagram, grows an email community, and relies on word of mouth across multiple locations. Lisa closes with a message she truly lives by: yoga is for everyone, including students who need adaptive and accessible yoga. She talks about working with neurodiverse students and continuing training to better serve wheelchair users and people with limited mobility.

I recently finished up this absolutely fantastic course with Rodrigo Souza of and an amazing cohort of yoga professionals from all around the world!

To say that this experience was insightful, enlightening, and motivating (on both a personal and professional level) is a wild understatement.

Does your business or organization work with folks who could benefit from this practice?? I'd love to connect, as we work together to remove participation barriers and provide yoga opportunities for those who need it most and have the least access 💚
