Through Shraddha, prayers, and offerings, we keep their blessings alive in our lives. 🌌

🌿Simple Daily Ritual for Pitra Paksha (at home)
🌅 Morning Ritual
✅Purification – Take a bath and wear clean clothes (preferably white or light-colored).
Setup a place a small table or thali with:
A glass/bowl of clean water
A diya (sesame oil or ghee)
Flowers (preferably white/yellow)
Black sesame seeds & rice
✅Tarpan (Offering water)
Face South (direction of ancestors).
Mix water + black sesame + a little rice.
Offer 3 times by slowly pouring the water, chanting:
“Om Pitra Devatabhyo Namah” (ॐ पितृ देवताभ्यो
✅Food Offering
Cook simple satvik food (khichdi, kheer, dal, chapati).
First portion offered to:
Crows 🐦 (messengers of ancestors)
Cows 🐄 (sacred, represents nourishment)
Dogs 🐕 (symbol of loyalty, protection)
Then feed the needy if possible.
✅🌙 Eveninngs
Light a diya with sesame oil/ghee near the ancestors’ photo or in the south direction.
Pray for peace and blessings of your forefathers.
Chant:
“Om Shraadhaaya Namah” (ॐ श्राद्धाय नमः)
