Fantastic way to celebrate Pathways being a year old!
Our Managing Director Gareth Tarrant was a panel member during a fantastic event at the CIPD in Wales Neurodiversity event where there were fantastic speakers and infromative discussion on employment and inclusion in Wales.

In the evening some of the team went out to celebrate with a nice evening meal.

It was great to get out and about yesterday doing talks and training.

In the morning Pathways delivered training to the taxi drivers and escorts who take SEN children to school in RCT.

In the afternoon our Director, Gareth, spoke at a conference in Cardiff about Neurodiversity and employment.

We are looking forward to more talks and training in 2024.

There’s a lot of exciting things happening so have a look at their website.

We are looking forward to popping along and meeting the Behaviour Support Hub this Thursday to talk about all things employment.

Pathways Support Specialists will be joining our Parental Peer Support session this Thursday at our hub in Pontypridd. They have over 40 years of experience supporting adults with additional needs and challenges in the workplace so come along to find out more about the services they offer.
We will also have our usual opportunity to discuss topics, seek advice and support whilst having a cuppa.
There is no need to book or have a diagnosis to attend these free sessions. All sessions take place from 10am until 12pm but you do not have to attend the full session if you have other commitments.
If you have any questions please get in touch. We look forward to seeing you all.
Please remember these sessions are for parents/carers only and children are unable to attend due to the sensitivity of the issues discussed.

By focusing on the reason for the perceived behaviour we can make reasonable adjustments instead of labelling and blaming the individual.

Whilst an American study, the findings are pretty similar here, although I’d say from experience there are more agencies and organisations helping to find employment.
Once in employment though there is very little support to navigate the employment journey.

Hardly any adults with autism are receiving supports to help them find or keep a job, new research shows, and even among the few who do, the services are often far too short-term.
