Let’s clear up the confusion:

IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) is a functional disorder — meaning your gut looks normal on scopes, but it’s still throwing a fit behind the scenes.
Think bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation, urgency, cramping…
Labs are “normal.” You’re told to “reduce stress.”
And you’re left managing chaos with no roadmap.

IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) — like Crohn’s or Ulcerative Colitis — is an inflammatory condition where damage to the gut lining is visible and measurable.
Symptoms often include bleeding, severe fatigue, weight loss, and nutrient deficiencies.
This is the diagnosis doctors tend to take more seriously — and often treat more aggressively.

Here’s why this matters:

So many women are walking around with IBS symptoms that disrupt their life daily — but because nothing shows up on a lab, they’re dismissed.
They’re given a trash can diagnosis, told to eat more fiber, and left to figure it out on their own.

But your symptoms are real.
And just because your gut “looks fine” doesn’t mean it’s functioning well.

Inside the Digestive Repair Method, we look at:
→ Root cause imbalances (SIBO, Candida, parasites)
→ Hidden stressors in digestion, detox, hormone balance
→ The why behind your flares — not just symptom relief

➡️ If you’ve ever left a doctor’s office feeling dismissed or discouraged, this space is for you.

Follow along for gut health support, relatable education, and the kind of encouragement that reminds you—you’re not alone in this.

Because you can feel better. You just need the right roadmap.

💦 Intentional Hydration: Why Water Isn’t Enough 💦

Did you know our bodies are 60% water, but our blood’s salinity is about 0.9%, similar to seawater? Despite drinking water, 75% of Americans are still chronically dehydrated. Proper hydration supports digestion, nutrient absorption, joint lubrication, temperature regulation, and cognitive function. However, modern water practices often strip out essential minerals needed for fluid balance, muscle contraction, and nerve impulses.

1️⃣ Why Hydration Matters: Proper hydration supports digestion, nutrient absorption, joint lubrication, temperature regulation, and cognitive function.

2️⃣ Symptoms of Dehydration: Fatigue, headaches, dry skin, chapped lips, wrinkles, dry scalp, constipation, dark-colored urine, frequent UTIs, poor concentration, short-term memory issues, and dizziness.

3️⃣ How Much Water to Drink: A healthy goal is half your body weight in ounces, spread throughout the day. Your urine should be a light pale yellow. Increase intake during intense exercise, in summer, and if pregnant or breastfeeding.

4️⃣ The Problem with Water: Bottled water often lacks essential minerals and may contain microplastics. Tap water can have chlorine, fluoride, and harmful contaminants like antibiotics, pesticide residues, and arsenic. Reverse osmosis water removes chemicals but also strips necessary minerals.

5️⃣ Intentional Hydration Tips: Use a filtration system that removes harmful contaminants but retains essential minerals. My favorite is Clearly Filtered. Add essential minerals and electrolytes to your water to boost hydration and replenish key minerals, especially if you drink RO water.

6️⃣ Boost Hydration: Use electrolyte powders like Pickleball Cocktail, Trace Mineral Drops, and a pinch of grey salt. You can also test your tap water on the EWG website to learn about contaminants and make an informed decision on the best filtration system for you.

We’re adding a little more love to our family 💕

Jeremiah and I are so excited to welcome our baby girl this September! It has been an extremely challenging few months with morning sickness, food and smell aversions, and all the other things that come with early pregnancy…some of which I was prepared for, but a lot of which I wasn’t.

Now that I am on the other side, I have a renewed gratitude for what our body is capable of, and God’s miraculous design that makes it all possible.

I am thrilled to integrate this new chapter into our journey at Amanda Miller Health. This certainly won’t be a pregnancy-only account, but it will continue to be a celebration of life and health at all stages.

Thank you for celebrating this news with us!

💚 My Story 💚

🎢 10 years ago, my life was a rollercoaster of digestive woes - battling SIBO, C.Diff, and systemic Candida. I missed out on life's joys, from friend trips to happy hours, and felt the pain of lost relationships and isolation.
